What really gets me is he acts like it is a foregone conclusion that they would score a ton of points. I don't see that happening.
I thought it was better before they traded Billups, yes. Anything is possible given the right coach and/or system, but Rip is going to need his time and screens to get his shots and Tay is still going to want to take his time to get his shot off. How many teams have ever thrived playing small without a point to facilitate things? The mis-matches are nowhere near what they think they are.
It had to have died with Curry. At least that's my belief. I would start my new coach search with one question. Would you ever play Prince at the 4? Anyone answering yes would be scratched off the list.
He'd be a lot better off if Rip were moved IMO. Stuckey will still be the 4th option on the team next year (if no moves are made) so I wouldn't even really expect a spike in his numbers. He simply isn't gonna get enough touches.
