This is the first time I will try this. Most of you know that I never have really formally proposal trades because this is not my forte. I usually have a wish list for a player(s) and let someone else figure out the salary match situation. So, Roscoe you are the man when it comes to this stuff, please put your stamp of or lack of; approval on this one big brother. Trade Partners: Detroit/Toronto/Utah/New York The Pistons get a signed Bosh from Toronto and a signed Wilcox from New York. Toronto gets Rip and Kwame, this will take care of their C and SG situation. Utah gets Maxiel from the pistons and a signed David Lee New York gets Boozer Alibi: The Knicks keeps Lee and Utah only gets Maxiel which will help Utah with their salary cap situation Whatcha think??????????????????
One thing for sure, Knicks will have boatloads of money in 2010 to sign two or three top tier FAs. I don't do the math but definitely sounds like a winner for all involved parties.
I was under the impression that in a sign and trade, you could only trade the player that you just signed and couldn't add any of your other players to the trade. Anyone know if this is true?
Numbers wise it could work depending on what the players being signed get, Bosh's #'s are easily predicatabale (MAX$$$) but Lee and Wilcox would be a hold up. Utah wouldn't do it because Lee+Maxiel would = too much $$$$. There is an easier way to do this, Rip+Kwame to Toronto and then we just sign Wilcox, Wilcox ain't gonna get more than $4M this summer.
