I think Plaisted has a good chance of making the bench, he's stiff enough.

You guys are mean. I am tickled pink to have Plaisted at least on our summer league roster. Being a BYU student and Cougar fan, I can say that the trainer's take was dead on. Plaisted's game was all about pound it, right shoulder, flippy, scoopy. If he has learned to expand his abilities a bit, he might excite us. I think he has physical ability, but in retrospect the BYU staff might not have had the know-how to teach him more. He was very well liked by the fans and is a great character guy. He is married and so he will be well adjusted and I think he will fit in with the more mature Pistons' locker room. With that said, everyone was surprised to see him hire an agent, I think a lot of us thought that he was just testing the waters and would be back for his senior year. It will be interesting to see how he does.

That's why sending him in some Euroleague team is a good idea: he can develope skillful plays there better than in NBDL, as FBA rules require more "tricky" style from bigs.

I've seem plenty of Alex Acker in Euroeague and he has been developing very nicely there.

Of course, it does not mean that send all projects in Europe: for some it works, for some it doesn't.

Guess Barcelona didn't think so according to the other Thread on him.

Based on the other Acker thread that has been started; wonder what games you were watching and what Barcelona is doing?

Honestly if I was a second roundish basketball player right out of college I think I'd rather play in Europe than ride the pine for a season or two and then just leave. It's a sweet deal.

And living in Italy for a year isn't all bad either. I loved Italy when I was there on the student exchange program through U of D.

    Bad start. This one's a write-off.

So Plaisted was a waisted pick. With Cheikh Samb gone, we had room on the roster to get a taisted of his abilities, but we sent him to the Euro league in haisted.

Well Joe did pick Plaisted and Deron, because they agree to go play overseas.

I hate how he didn't take a chance with CDR or Jordan, but w/e.
