As things get worked out for the draft, we may assume (all things being equal, which they are not) that some form of welcome signs have been stamped on the following door mats: The first five placement for ready feet: Irving Williams Knight Kanter Versely From then on, we can look at: Leonard Walker T. Thompson Burks Biyombo Fredette Markus Morris Motiejunas Now you must figure in the lack of a coach (and their style), FA, trades, a new owner (coming up to speed at a different game) and a Administrative staff reeling from some badly made decisions. Plus you must understand that the general fan only understands what is in front of their nose. Those five players on the court have higher priority (millionaires all) then those owners who never will lose a paycheck (billionaires nearly all). Lets all not get too greedy.
Where is Valanciunas? Did you just forget or did you exclude him? I would put him instead of Vesely among the first five door mats.
Vince Ellis has the Pistons taking Vesely: Vince Ellis' NBA mock draft | Detroit Free Press | freep.com
Vince and I have different takes: I don't see the Jazz taking a guard and it would be Fredette if this were the case. They really need a PF and CJ does not fit this position, but Vesley does. Any way I see it sliced, they take a big. Toronto needs a center, they take Kanter or Valanciunas. Washington needs a PF, but might settle for someone like Leonard. Sacramento needs a 3-4. I don't see them taking a guard. Klay Thompson was downward but climbing fast. The footage on this guy is unreal. I can understand why Bird loves this fellow....won't be there for Larry.
How come? They have Memo, Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap and Derrick Favors, plus Fesenko who's a restricted FA IIRC. Meanwhile their only SG on the roster is Raja Bell.
Come on Walter, what am I getting at? How would they ever get over the embarrassment of not taking Jimmer?
I can see them picking a Kanter/Jimmer or a Kanter/SG combination with 3/12 but I think Knight is the most probable pick.
