"If true, does it suggest Hammond knew he had to get ahead of Pistons?" - Keith Langlois, via Twitter, in response to Gery Woelfel's tweet, "Bucks appear to have deal with Sacamento for No. 7" "Hi-jinx" Hammond strikes again...
Posted this in another thread...my bad http://www.pistonsforum.com/detroit-pistons-general-discussion/11544-tristan-thompson-off-table.html Charlotte has the 7th and they are seemingly going to pick Tristan Thompson.
We might have a tiny tiny chance at Knight now. This is a longshot but remember where you read it! 1 CLE Irving 2 MIN Williams 3 UTAH Kanter 4 CLE JV 5 TOR Biyombo 6 WAS Vesely 7 CHA Thompson 5 is the biggest hurdle imo but there is a lot of talk about becoming a defensive powerhouse in Toronto.
Also, if Biyombo is there at 7, evidently CHA moved up for him, not TT, although they would be interested in Leonard or TT if Biyombo wasn't there. But yes, I would guess that Knight's going to be there when we pick. Which, I don't know if I'm happy or not...I like him, but I like Leonard, Biyombo and TT a lot.
In the 2nd round, Chad Ford has the Pistons taking Norris Cole at #33: In our mock, the Pistons miss out on Kemba Walker, but Cole isn't a bad substitute. He's a classic point guard who can fly up and down the floor, make a great pass and get into the lane. He could be the sleeper of the draft. ....and another SG at #52: E'Twaun Moore | SG | Purdue Moore is one of the toughest players in the draft. He's an excellent shooter and can even play a little point guard. He's probably a bit of a steal at this point.
So do I but I've seen reports about Toronto being REALLY into The Biz. There might be a minor chance and I don't see Wizards picking Knight over Vesely. If Charlotte traded down to grab Biyombo instead of Thompson that's a problem though.
