Keith is in propaganda overdrive. I'm just sayin', Joe's press conference where he will inevitably say all of the right things, now all of our options and the greatness of our cap position, ....

I want to see Joe do something more substantial than sign Kwame Brown. I want to see these moves happen, not a summer of speculation and the return of Coach Clueless.

I say we go after Sessions since he is a restricted FA and make him our new PG. Let Stuckey be the 2 guard and trade RIP and who ever else to get a rebounding PF.

I'm just saying, what do we expect the Pistons to tell us?

Joe has lost it? He dropped the ball? The Pistons screwed up? The cupboard is bare? Everything hangs on this press conference?

Of course not. Langlois is not a journalist. He's the face of the Pistons PR operation. He was brought on board to protect Joe from media scrutiny, and promote the franchise's story at all times.

So there is no objectivity. His list is probably decent, but I wouldn't be surprised if Joe grabs no one on it, or one guy with too much money.

This is all meant to distract us from being pissed off and disappointed with the end of the season, just like the AIG bonuses were meant to distract from AIG giving away taxpayer money to foreign banks. It's a classic headfake.

I'm still pissed off. I think we should be calling for Curry and Joe's heads. I think these guys need their feet put to the fire. No free passes, Joe has been living on free passes for several seasons now.

It's time to put up or shut up.

Man, I need to stop drinking coffee after 6pm. :o

Sorry AG, nothing personal. I just can't stand Keith Langlois. He's such a shill.

I like all of these options compared to what happen the last two summers. (Kwame and Jarvis) Some are intriguing though to act on if the other parties want to play ball with Joe.

The question is did someone on Joe's staff leak these to put his thoughts out there or did Langlois think these up himself?

    This is great article.

You're right, he is a shrill, but this comes about when he has to perpetually defend the organization and players....after the fact.

This article is much more objective (staying away from the organizational PR) and lays out a good case on the options that might be out there. He covered a lot of ground, even though he missed the Laker situation.

In the end, it won't make much difference if JD keeps Curry.

Right, well that was my point. He's not a journalist. He's not writing articles with anything but a subjective bias to promote Joe, the Pistons and their decisions that haven't worked out well.

I think this was a huge mistake by the Palace, bringing this guy on board, because it has reduced the amount of quality reporting outside the organization, and the diehard fans know this guy will never say anything critical about anyone or any situation. For crissakes, he hosts the Pistons.com game chats, and if I wasn't doing our chats, I would be over there driving him crazy with tough questions, and probably getting banned. lol

I'm pumped up. I might have to skip the live presser tomorrow so I don't get mad and ruin my whole day. I think I'll read others comments, then listen to it later.

With regards to players, Joe can't get less than two bonafide starters. Our bench is empty, we're drafting 15th. This team has been completely imploded. And that doesn't even address the fact that a statue of Rocky Balboa has more mental agility than our Coach Clueless.

I wonder if at the press conference is anyone going to ask why flip got fired after three ecfs and curry barely makes the playoffs and is given a second chance. Joe doesn't have much credibility with me now. Fire Curry.

I thought you were the one with Joe D on speed dial. :)

I thought we had one of the best benches in the league this year?

Why do I get the feeling DET will be rolling with the latter instead of the former if a deal goes down? Gulp!

Shaq could get Curry fired faster than Terry Porter.
