A new low: Charlie V cut by Dominican Republic National Team

I got cut from the team, as well, if that makes you feel any better. Coach said I was right on the bubble.

I'm actually one of the very few swedish born ex hockey players who's been cut from the Dominican Republic basketball team. Considering I've also preventivly retired from the rest of the West Indies national teams (in particular the Saint Kitts and Nevis team) and the fact that I belong to the minority of basketball players who actually never played basketball I'd like to see my hoops career as a fairly unique.

Sorry to rub it in folks, but I just finished a great practice with the Dominicans.

I had a Puerto Rican flag left over from when Carlos Arroyo played for DET that I was waving when I walked through the door and luckily for me Coach Cal couldn't tell the difference.

He did constantly refer to me as either pudgy or lard ass throughout, but that seems like a small price to pay for the experience.

Would anybody here trade CV + Knight for the expiring contract of Jose Calderon?

TOR needs a SF and BK would replace some of what they'd lose in Calderon. Also, I'm assuming that they would never do the deal unless it included somebody to offset the human plank that they'd be getting.

We'd get a player that averaged 10.5 points and 8.8 assists per game with a .371 average from deep. Could test drive him for a year and then part ways if it's not a fit. If we let him go, it would open up an additional $11.5M in room for next year's FA crop.

I doubt Toronto would go for it now that they landed Kyle Lowry.

I would rather amnesty CV and keep BK7. I like this guy.

I think PF.com needs to take a big step back from the prospective CV trades. Nobody wants him on the trade floor.

Say you own a muffin store. And in the window you have all these delicious and a sign which says 1 display muffin & 1 normal muffin for $5.

When you offer say, BK and Maggette, the guy is willing to hand over the fiver because he gets a just cooked, awesome looking muffin with the potential to be delicious and a not so great looking, slightly stale but still appetising muffin.

But when you add CV to the mix, all of a sudden it become a delicious muffin and a bucket of turd. And no matter how you try to sell it - how your customer can just throw it away in the dumpster, that they don't have to eat it - they still have to wrap their hands around a smelly bucket of turd with no use whatsover. Its going to stain their clothes with the smell. Did I mention that you also forced them to pay more money when they selected the turd bucket muffin combo?

So you don't get a crisp clean fiver back for your delicious display muffin and bucket of turd. You get greasy, rusty pennies picked from the urinal trays of central station. The ones seagulls won't even look at. And they weigh down your pockets and make you fall over.

I don't want those pennies. You shouldn't either.

CV's practicing with the team according to Silver Tongue. Once again he's "lean" (i.e, pudgy) and "fit" (i.e, fat). I wish Joe would amnesty him already. The last thing I want is for him to start hanging around Andre and infecting him with his bad habits.

And why we don't amnesty CV?? I just don't get it.. Gores doen't want to give him the money for nothing?

Maybe right now he is having some use that we might not know, maybe He is an excellent joke teller, or maybe he parks the car of the other players, clean the lockerroom, help the pistons dance team with their routines, I mean.. he has to be doing something.

Otherwise, I can't understand why we didn't amnisty him yersterday
