...ok, NOW I'm concerned that this deal is going to actually get done.

McConduit has a track record of being 100% wrong on stuff like this you know...

You can't compare Sheed to Dave Cowens. That's like comparing Sasha Vujajic to Michael Jordan. Dave Cowens was just a special player. He could leave it all out on the floor without even being on the floor.

That sounds like one of those Chuck Norris sayings.

Like, Dave Cowens doesn't get beat. He gives beatings.

Hmmm, this forum really needs to focus on Cowens more. :)

Isn't it a shame that Cowens is going into his third season here and none of his experience and skillsets have translated to the young Piston bigmen>?? Maybe we should have had Hondo Havilcek as an assistant instead.

I was joking. They don't show pre-season games on NBA TV and I think there is a reason for that.

I went to an appearance at a mall with Hondo, Cowens and maybe Don Nelson when I was a kid. I walked up to Hondo and told him he was my father. Hondo was my mom's favorite player and between being little kid and being raised only by my mom, I must have some how associated the two. I obviously had no idea how shocking that must be for a pro athlete or any man to hear out of the blue. Dave Cowens almost wet himself he was laughing so hard.

Totally agree but if the "right" offer came about. I would hate to see his personality leave the mix but I'd have to say see ya to Sheed. He hasn't quite played up to his potential in big games recently (meaning since 05 or 06).

    It's funny because it's true.

I can see it now, a big Michigan reunion, Zach and Sheed partying with DC, CWeb, Roy Tarpley, and Antoine Joubert at the gentlemen clubs in Windsor.

Seriously, Memphis wouldn't trade Darko for Zach, why would Joe give up Sheed?

It now has come to my attention that Al Harrington wants to be traded! Let's trade SHEED FOR AL!

    http://www.hoopsworld.com/TheWireStory.asp?id=13025 or Google Basically.

    Not the worst idea.

I'm hoping to see Sheed and Amir in action for a while though to see what kind of dynamic they'll have.

They could sign Bonzi Wells also to really round it out.

I've come to the conclusion that Sheed is irreplaceable. NO sheed trades.

For me, Piston basketball is entertainment.

    Sheed entertains me!
