7 games on the road, including back to back games vs. rested opponents.

    Sat, Nov14@ Washington
    Sun, Nov15 Dallas
    Tue, Nov17@ LA Lakers
    Wed, Nov 18@ Portland
    Sat, Nov 21@ Utah
    Sun, Nov 22@ Phoenix
    Wed, 25 Cleveland.

thnx to Washington game it wont go winless, at least I hope : 1-6, practically best case scenario.

2-5: miracle!, somebody underestimated Pistons; 3-4: impossible

IMO there is no need to start flaming, asking for trades, demanding Q replacement with Byron Scott, etc.

Better suck it 1-6 up and move on.

I full agree,we have terrible road trip lacking Tay and Rip Hamilton against very good opponets.

Team and coach are working hard, improving his game,we need to be patience with new bad boys team.
We need to trade Rip,Tay or Max before trade deadline on february, that´s diferent we have 1-6 or 3-4...

Each opponent on the trip will have had at least 1 day off to rest before playing the Pistons.

Washington, even with their 2-6 record and without Jamison, will be a favorite at home against the Pistons. Definitely the most winnable game though. I feel like they might upset Cleveland, too. And they gotta be able to steal 1 of the other 5 games.

I'd probably set the OVER/UNDER for this road trip at 1.5 WINS and reluctantly take the over. I predict 2-5. 3-4 would be a huge achievement. 0-7 is certainly not unthinkable.

Good thread and so true. If we can get 1 or 2 wins over this stretch (including @Wash) we would've done something very good. I'm just hoping that we can compete in 4 of these games.

If the Pistons stumble on this trip it might open the door for Joe D to push Kuester out and replace him with Byron Scott.

    But there are 7 games.

I'm interested in how the defense responds, and how much our players' offensive output slips (if any) given the for an increased defensive effort.

I am gonna be optimistic and say that the Pistons will make it a .500 + road trip.

I think they may surprise a lot of folks. My only worry is bench production at the Center spot.

If Kwame can give maximum participation, we will have a much better chance of getting those opportunistic wins.

My surprise player on this trip; Dajuan Summers. He just may be our trump card. He looked pretty decent in his 10 minutes, he has learned his assignments and I think that he could be a 10 & 5 guy easily.

You guys/girls really thought Summers looked decent? I wouldn't judge him on such a short stint, but my passive impression was that he appeared to be quite rusty.

He really seems like a big body for a 3. Sort of an Artest shape to him.

    I'm predicting 2-5 or 3-4.

We'll most definitely lose to Utah.
Cleveland, Lakers & Portland will probably beat us too, even though we'll have some competitive quarters.
Phoenix & Washington games are both toss ups.

    but...

WE ARE BEATING DALLAS! Book it.

yeah if I had to grade Summers on that performance it would be an "Incomplete", didn't really do anything good or bad, he was kind of just there, which isn't a bad thing, if you gotta rook who you can put on the floor and they don't hurt you, give'm some run and get'm some experience.

What if you're right, can you imagine how crazy things would get around here if they win 4 of these next 7 games, the expectations would become ridiculously unrealistic. Funny as great as that would be, we'd still be a team that's only 1 game over .500.

I agree. He may pan out, but I was left unimpressed, even with such a short stint. Seemed a little out of shape and out of place. A classic example of a college undersized power forward trying to adapt to the NBA.

Well technically we could go .500 as this is really only a four game western trip. Two of the seven games mentioned are at home and one is in DC.

So taking just the western road games in LA, Portland, Phx and Utah into consideration, I am thinking we can take at least one and maybe steal another.

I wish I could attend at least one of them and provide some PF karma, but when they play the Lakers, I will be in Seattle and when they play Portland, I will be flying over Portland during the game my way home....:yellowprison:

Unless that highlight video that armygirl posted of CV right after he signed has been misleading me, then I am fully expecting a win against Portland. He owns them!
