True Blue Pistons
I think we should just forget about Acker now, its becoming quite clear we'll likely never see him on the team, and if we do, he won't be doing much.
I was all for Acker playing with us last season, but now we have Afflalo who I think is and will become the better player. Sorry Ackster.
I bet he beats out AA.
Curry called AA the poster boy for how he wants the Pistons to approach things this year and claimed that AA didn't have a bad game last season. I think he even flat out stated that he is biased in AA's favor. So, he'll probably be getting a lot more PT.
I assume when we say "AA" when mean Arron Afflalo, not Alex Acker?
Let's call Acker, AAR, R is for right.
This was before the reported injury.
Ack Attack for the 15th spot? We can always waive him later in the season.
Are ya'll crazy??? Curry loves Arron! He has defense that's ridiculous! Curry ain't letting him go anywhere. If Alex was to play for us, you could say good-bye to Will...but I don't think that would happening either. I don't Alex is going to get a spot on the roster but it's good to see he's not giving up tho.
How about AFLO for Afflalo and ALE for Acker.
Works for me.
Last I saw of Acker, he could not stay in front of an NBA guard. Any of them. In contrast, Afflalo is great at this. So unless Acker has been working on his D pretty fierce these past couple of years, I would bet on Afflalo. Could Acker have improved his defense to make our 15th spot? Great if he did. Can't hurt to carry another practice player.
I would rather have Juan Dixon back.
Dispite my past VSL gushing for Acker...I have essentially given up hope that he will get an opportunity. I would be surprised if Curry is as true to his word as he claims. Not that I have a problem with Curry this early. I just don't see it happening for Acker
Isn't there a reason that we haven't released his rights? We are loaded this year though, so I agree that he probably doesn't have a chance at making it. Since the $ in flying in Europe, it seems like he should just look for another contract there.
Pistons sign guard Alex Acker to contract -- chicagotribune.com Booya!
Contain your excitement fellas.
lol, I was an Acker fan. I'd like to see what he has.
