I've seen some of the honeys on your MySpace (hopes they aren't relatives...)

I doubt I would be single for long if I was following my older brother around to his social events. :D

Aaah...Just forget league business for a minute... although I will say you guys over there in that sorry league do need the time to practice and study how to efficiently manage a team.

At any rate, I'm thinking of starting a thread where all of the forum's eligible bachelorettes can fight over the rights to woo Roscoe36. I can see it now.:pound::pound::pound::pound:

    :p_welldone: <------------------- Roscoe

Since you put it out there... I think you lose your ability to clown the Advanced League folks since you won the Novice League Championship last year and as an encore performance decided to stick around there again to beat up on newbies. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. :nono:

Thanks for showing up in the advanced league banter section. Unfortunately we will no longer be accepting applications for cheerleaders. lol!

    Let the trash talk begin!

Darth has volunteered to stay back in the little kiddies pool to assist me with managing the novice league. While darth tater is a shrewd GM, he is also a great rolemodel on how to propose trades and behave in a league such as ours.

You guys won't get to:wedgie: him until next year.

I know Slippy. You know I got nothing but love for that big loveable potato. :) Just giving Darth a hard time for "volunteering" his services when he knew folks (including his sensai) in the advanced league were salvating at the chance to make Mashed Potatoes out of him. :)

Talk is great, but you have to back it up in the playoffs.

    I intend to do so.

Btw, I love the new Yahoo improvements. They included a lot of their new Web 2.0 technology in the fantasy league systems. The player watch, add and trade options all work in real time without new page reloads.

I noticed that baseball had a much improved stats package, I hope that basketball has the same.

Sweeeeet! I look forward to seeing those new features this time around. I've been absent from fantasy league play since the NBA regular season ended last year, so I've been oblivious to any changes.

Gee, I was looking forward to Darth moving up to the big boy table and playing in the advance league. Oh well...

I am so ready to get it on. I can't hardly wait. Hopefully I will not draft injury prone players this season.:yellowprison:

I'm still a bit annoyed about what happened last year. Me and Darth didn't get to have a proper match-up in the final due to Yahoo's flawed playoff system. ie. having the final during the last week of the regular season when all the stars take games off.

Put an asterisk on that championship Darth. Yeah you heard me!

I'm thinking about stepping up to the advanced Motown. I think Darth should step up too as any 'champion' should.

I'm not going to allow you to bait me with your "champion" digs and the like. It sounds like sour grapes. The rules were the same for both of us even if we don't like the yahoo playoff system. We knew what they were going in.

I made a commitment to assist slippy and that is more important to me than defending myself from these taunts and character assaults.

I won a championship my rookie year in football and fell to 9th place out of 10 teams in the same league the next year. So what? Much is based on draft position and luck (health, etc.) as well as skill.

Sorry , but if you want a rematch with me it will need to be in the Novice league (unless both commissioners and Roscoe request that I switch. I said long ago I would do whatever is best for the leagues/forum.).

For the good of the nation eh Tater? Whatever works for you. I'm sending my squad into advanced. Just trying to add some extra incentive for a possible step up, thats all.

No hard feelings Tater, good luck in your quest for back-to-back*.

It is the NBA.com sponsored league and it is highly configurable.

I will be doing a run down in a seperate thread soon, but a couple things worth mentioning are:

    - open to both advanced and novice players
    - the league will have divisions (ex. Eastern/Western Conference)
    - configurable injury list
    - configurable don't cut list
    - configurable player eligibility
    - and much...much...more

This will be are first time utilizing this fantasy bball system so I want us to explore it for a season to see if it is better than what Yahoo has to offer. If we get a good response from the managers it could well be are new format going forward.

    More info to follow.

Pastor Flournoy wanted to play, and I really have my hands full right now, so I dropped out of Advanced to concentrate on Trial League.

Best of luck to all of you. Your chances of winning advanced increased dramatically with my withdrawal.

All quiet on the Advanced front, I guess everyone is waiting to see how their guys are going to play before making any drastic moves.

Well, I will entertain offers for J.R Smith. Any takers?

In return I would like a Josh Smith type player... (But no Joe Smith's)
