Swift can't play because his knee is messed up. He was supposed to start this year, but Carlissimo is reduced to starting 6'8" Nick Collison. Nick can seriously rebound. He's like the white Ben Wallace, but without all the muscles and excellent timing.

Has anyone ever played in a league this large?

Its hard to tell what kind of team with 16 Teams. Totally different talent pool. People were picking players in the late rounds that may not even have gotten picked up at all in a 12 player league.

I have last years league leader in 3-pts made. Have a couple more in the top 10 and one other in the top 5.

    My strengths. 3-pt, Rebounding.
possible: Points, Steals, Assists and Blocks.

    Weaknesses: FG,FT and TO's.

I agree Max. It's tough to tell with so many teams. It will be really interesting. I haven't even looked yet to see how many teams make the dance.

Looks like we play week one. Should be a good one. We haven't faced off since year one on basketball, I think. :fencing:

I have before. The type of pickups we were seeing I think are no different than what you would see on the free agent wire. In a 16 team league you will never see a strong performer hanging around in free agency. You need to strike fast to take advantage of emerging players.

I am not sure if in a league this large since the totals will be low, if its best to concentrate on certain stats or try to be good in them all.

That just means he overplays his starters and doesn't rotate in his bench guys. :stirthepot:

Looks like I dodged an early season bullet. Big Ben just went down with an ankle turn just before half-time.

Hmmm...and just today Warthog was laughing about me picking up Aaron Gray last night.

I figure in this league I've got to anticipate injuries instead of waiting to pick someone up after they happen. :pound:

Like Mo said, you better strike lightning fast.

I am a little worried about Amare Stoudemire. Worth the risk though for my draft position.

Got a couple of trade offers. I am probably not going to be making any trades until a couple of weeks in. Have to see how things go.

I do have a surplus of 3-pt shooters so if anything it will be there.

webz, you think you're hosting a block party at the Pink Slips expense but let me introduce you to my wings: Josh Smith and Delonte West. Pray that Gasol sits because if he's ballin' The Pink Slips will be representing the blocks. Backing them up is Battier and held in reserve is 9'1" Robert Swift, half man, half colossus, and half broken! Pickin' you pocket is Caron Butler and Roy the ROY.

The Pink Slips are ready to hand you your walking papers:gun1:
