Okay I realize I am asking my competitors but in the interest of league spirit and all, what is the best fantasy basketball magazine or source to buy asap for me to get ready for the draft. I have paid absolutely no attention to basketball in the off season I'm ashamed to admit except to note that the Kings got a real good rookie in the draft and of course I have read the forum regularly but that doesn't tell me about the rest of the league besides the Pistons. Last year I bought the Yahoo fantasy magazine. It was okay, but I didn't think too much of it. I think I liked rotowire better right off the web, but it's been so long I don't remember. So...what are you guys reading to get ideas about the draft? C'mon I need help here. Otherwise, I'll just do the same thing I always do...take my pets too high and curse myself the rest of the season and you know what? You guys are the ones who will have to read all those posts. :pound:So...what's the best source for me to read before we draft?:)

We are going to need one more team after Max joins...

Has anyone seen Loanshark? He came in 2nd place last year.

Later on in the week, I will look at rescheduling the draft.

Check out Matt Buser's articles on the front page of the League; click on "Basketball 10'", the're down there - he's one of the best sources in fantasy basketball and covers everything - player projections as well as teambuilding-strategy.

Thank you so much Ralphie. I got started last night with Rotowire stuff. I appreciate your sharing a source. Motown is all "top secret, I'd tell you but I'd have to kill you" LOL.

Okay here's another one for you guys. Try not to laugh too hard. Will the yahoo system let you draft a player that is NA? I'm serious. Ya never know when a certain guy might become A. Irregardless of his potential value, he still might become A. And if that happens...well you know.:love::redface:

I hate to throw a rotten egg in the party, but I am wondering if we are doing the draft to early???

The regular season does not start until what Nov 2nd....Last year we didn't do the draft until the Oct 17th, so we had a couple of weeks to look at some players....and even that didn't work out as I drafted Blake Griffin only to see him go down injured a week before the season started, so it was a wasted draft pick since he never played a regular season game.

I am not saying that someone will get injured in preseason this year, but I think seeing the players play with their new teams for more than 5-6 games give us a better perspective if there are some surprising jewels out there or some guys who will provide fantasy points because they are with the wrong team or system.

Just my opinion ...but how about the 16th or 17th this month instead??

Nope, but I'd like to draft what I see on the floor and not on name hype ala Joe drafting he-whom-shall-remain-nameless in 2003....

Some of the named guys have aged....

....also did you notice in the Yahoo pre-rankings, that Stuckey rated at 112 was the highest ranking Piston??

Stuckey doesn't shoot 3's and FG% needs work, so perhaps that seems wrong. But a few guys are coming off bad seasons who would normally be higher. (Gordon, CV)

Prince is possibly THE most boring fantasy player to own ever.
