I think, and could be wrong, that the first seed is the team with the best record, and the second seed is the first place team in the other division. And then after that it's just by record?

I believe the two division winners get the playoff bye. Then the next best 6 irregardless of division get in. So no. Cookie monsters is out in that scenario.

I am barely hanging on here to the # 1 seed with a rash of injuries here lately. I still have 9 of my 13 original draft picks, but three of FA slots have been rotating like a revolving door the past 4 weeks. Tyreke Evans missed 11 straight games due to injury, yet I held a spot open for him for three weeks waiting for him to return, before dropping him......I hope that was not a mistake as he is back and ready to re-enter the starting line up with Arsenal London...who is second place 2 games behind me...:nailbiting:

this is such a tough luck, Gasol injures his head big time right after the day the trade gets through

The only thing the divisions do is give the top two seeds to the division winners. The rest of the playoff seedings are based as if it was one big division.

There are no byes with our league since 8 teams make the playoffs.

Personally I think this is warming up nicely. Although I don't doubt I am currently the villain of the piece following the LBJ trade and the Tyreke pick up!

Plus I am finally going to see the Pistons live on Thursday after 10+ years of waiting so forgive my excitement!

None of my guys are doing all that well this week, but I thought it would still be closer. Then I counted games. Counting injuries Sprockets are down 13 player games this week. Without the injuries they're still down 8 or 9. Watch out whoever is up next week, sooner or later my whole team is going to have five games in the week.

This is correct. The divisions are pretty meaningless. I've contemplated removing them all together as they have no value. Perhaps next season.

I have to admit that I'm a bit shocked that I am not in the top 8 this year. I thought I would have one of the better teams. We haven't even been affected adversely by injury. Just a poorly constructed squad it seems. Still time to make a push. We have some dangerous pieces. I'm looking to make some trades...

You're in much worse shape. I only have two guys down. Our the leading rebounder, but still just two. None of the others had games this week though.

Cookie Monsters just dismantled my team this past week. (1-8) my worst beating of the season. Of course my assistant coaches didn't help by sitting Zebo and Duncan this week to rest them and a couple of other players missed games due to injuries.....of course, I made a few mistakes too dropping a couple of players too early and holding to others too long:frusty:

    Good Job Ralphie

I play you next. I hate playing teams that just got beat bad. It is usually because they were short on numbers so it gets made up on me the following week Ugh. Figures. I looked ahead to the first couple of days in our match and I'm outnumbered quite a bit. My goal will be to get the turnovers category and hopefully two more. Maybe blocks and a percentage cat. Now...of course I am screwed this week so whoever I play the following week will have been screwed this week too so I won't gain a numbers advantage when I play them. LOL!! It's ok, Dre. I am used to losing to you at Trivia all the time too! :'(

DT, prior to this week, I was 1-10 in TO's so you will probably win that category the first night. My dominate category was the points where I was 10-1, and the steals where I was 9-2 and the FG and Reb, where my team was 8-3. We were only able to retain the boards this week....Good luck dude and may the best team win....by Friday:cheers:

    thanks Dre,
some of my guys were really on fire this week, thus enabling them to overcome the injury of Alexey Shved.

Not going to get there this week dude. My power trio of Ridnour, Allen, and Ilyasova are going to put a licking on the 'Prides.

P.S. Isn't David West having a nice year?
