I would have definitely have taken him at #12 if he fell that far.
Someone kept him in Keeper even after he didn't play at all last season...
There was an IR spot. Even a Cannuckian would know better than dropping a stud like that in a Keeper league...
I DROPPED RONDO
Rondo was always on the fringe to be a keeper even when healthy. He is much more valuable in real life.
I'm still surprised that Love fell that far!
Yea, I was thrilled to get Love at #17!
I think we were all scared off by his continual stop-start absences last season... I'm sure it won't be the same this year but it certainly affected my thinking ...
I had Love last year and he tanked my team. His numbers dropped in every stat and he kept missing games with injuries.
This will be his rebound year.
By far the steal of the draft!
I was freaking out like a 5 year old over the prospect of acquiring him with my 2nd pick but someone called Bill Laimbeer finally could not resist taking him any longer
What's with all these people looking for love on the internet?
every morning I wake up and have to realize that a whole night of news passed while I was sleeping. I am seriously disadvantaged as I sleep while all the NBA news are happening. When I am awake, players, GMs and coaches sleep, with no new ankle injuries, no injury progress, no trades, no new "I will mix my lineup and hand 45 minutes to Austin day"-annoucements. And no, I am not whining, I am just looking for an excuse if I don't manage to reclaim my advanced league trophy OR a further argument to back my claim to be the best fantasy league player everrrrr. That being said, I wanted that Italian guy, Motown Prides!
Time to get a night job mate! I lived in London for 1.5 years so I understand your pain. Being in Australia is pretty sweet. The games are on during the day here. Italian guy? Datome is still available!
Games start tonight. REMINDER: Set your lineup.
I am commissioner in a league with my friends in Australia, and I have tweaked some of my rules to help offset this issue. The games are on during our day here so a lot of guys who are at work can't check the scores til they get home. Which leads to the problem you face. I found a nice method with Yahoo that I'm trialling this year. Basically, all FA's are on Waivers at all times. If you want a player you need to submit a bid ($ amount) for any player you wish to pick up. Waivers are processed once a day, and whoever bids the highest gets that player. You don't know who else has bid nor how much they bid. Every team has a budget of say $100 to use on waiver claims for the season. This means that there is no more time zone disadvantage and you need to think wisely how much you really want a guy and how much you are willing to spend from your season budget. You can still bid $0 and if nobody else bids you get him for free like a normal FA. I'll check back here with how its going later, but I think it could be a really nice rule to consider for this league in the future.
This is what it looks like.
You're welcome. ;)
That's different.... I'll have to digest that one.
