    Merry Christmas Fantasy GMs!

The standings shifted around a bit this week.

We have a new leader! JAMMERTIME!

Congrats to Jammertime for accomplishing what I was unable to, defeating my fellow fantasy guru, Old Miser, and in impressive fashion. 8-1! OUCH! Unfortunately, Miser's team felt the injury bug last week. Suicide during a week with a condensed holiday schedule.

Expect a fantasy roundup this week where I will discuss the current state of the league, managers to watch, and growing trends.

    Oh yeah,......

Jammertime don't get too comfortable. I'm coming after ya. ;)

Yeah, I'll definately take the W over Old Miser, but I've stayed away from trash talking because his team was pretty short handed all last week.

Its been fun so far, but its even more fun from 1st place. :eyebrows:

Great job with the league and all of the updates Mo! Good luck in the battle for 2nd.

I knew it was too good to be true. First Camby sprained his pinky it keeps him out 3 games and now he breaks the pinky. Why didn't he just tape it to the other finger? What a Pus!!!!

    Anyone interested in a trade for M. Jaric, T. Prince, S. Swift, C. Kaman, J. Posey and/or L. Barbosa???

I'm looking for high percentage shooters, versatile players and/or big men...

    Re: How come....?

Why is there some much chatter over in the Novice L and none here? I mean, I dont have much time to talk smack, but 33 pages to 3!!! Come on'

    Let's talk about.....

How Miser was going to totally rip FD off, then the league does FD a favor by vetoing the trade and he gets all upset about it. Come on, B. Jackson and A Bogut (from Miser) for R. Lewis (from FD)????

Seriously FD, you proposed that???? I offered Kaman, Posey and Barbosa, which got declined...Is it that much worse?

Or how about how close the standings are. I dont have that much experience in the fantasy leagues but the top 5-7 teams are pretty close...only a few games apart..

    Re: How come....?

If I was the commish in your league, you would have an active thread as well. A good 50% of my owners hate my guts for a veto. But man are those vetoes good for conversation.

Not that he comes by anymore but SHAME ON YOU JDMISER. SHAME.

    Re: How come....?

I wasn't happy about the trade veto at the time, but I think we both said what we had to say in our PM's.

If not for you this forum would not exist. If not for this forum our league would not exist. So without you, we have no league. How can we hate you for a decision that you made as commissioner of a league that wouldn't even exist without you?

Remember my old signature? "I may be rancid butter, but I'm on your side of the bread."

    Chickens!!!!!

About a month ago Slippy and I were talking about the same thing. We were going to talk some inter-league smack talk to help get you guys going since there was no intra-league smack going on.

We decided we better not because we didn't want to inadvertantly offend someone.

    But how about this fellas?...

Next week...we pit our number one against your number one. Our number two against yours. Our number 3.. and so on. It would be easy to compare totals.

I'll bet we kick your butts!!! The only reason you guys are the so called experts is because that's the name of your league. So why don't you so called "experts" pit your sorry arse teams against ours and earn your titles? Bok Bok Bokkkkkk.

    Are we on?

Hey that's a great idea. I'll be sure to use a whole lotta  and :frusty: when I'm posting about YOUR roster decisions! :eyebrows:

This is Micro's roster :crutch: :crutch: :crutch:
And this is mine: :flame: :flame: :flame: *

They're a bunch of nice guys but together we can GANG UP and DOUBLE TEAM ANY ONE OF YOU!!! We might even win too! As an added bonus I will quintuple every point, rebound, assist, steal and block that DARKO gets if you pick him up and stick him in your lineup. Hell, he might even get 5 pts at that rate. Ok maybe not. But ITS WORTH A SHOT!

And start yapping. By the gods man, where is your PRIDE!!

    Re: Chickens!!!!!

That sounds like a great idea, but...

From top to bottom (for the most part) we have a bunch of quality teams, check out the teams over .500. Its very close. So basically our league it seems like the talent is spread out much more than most other leagues. Which would result in our top teams not being as good as your top teams and our lower level teams dominating your lower level.

    Anyway, I could be wrong.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! This should be interesting...

    Re: Chickens!!!!!

Yeah yeah ...sounds like you are already coming up with good excuses for the inevitable butt whoopings your teams are about to receive. We have our paddles ready. Bring your butts over here.

(Just kidding...I do see your point about the talent dispersion.)

    Re: Chickens!!!!!

Dude, that sounds like an awesome idea! We should make it a weekly competition. I'm sure Motown isn't doing anything and would love to keep tabs on it for us!

I don't like trash talking because it always seems to come back and bite me in the rump. I tend to wait until the season is over and I'm in 1st place before I do my talking. :eyebrows:

But I suppose I can make an exception for you "Novice" players.

 NOW you tell me. I drafted Darko with my last pick. Of course I also released him 41 games ago.

    I'm IN!

I would agree that our bottom feeders are not like your bottom feeders though. Our talent is alot more dispersed, but hell I'm not shyin' away from any competition.

    Let the games begin.

We will start the competition next week.

Great idea Tater. I see mash potatoes in my future. :)
