I haven't watched it yet, but the "you know" line was used often by Rip apparently. :)

What actually happens when you put somebody on ignore?

Is it like they don't exist to you anymore? So all their post disappear and all quotes responses to them disappear? I assume they can't send PM's to you also?

Did Rip put AI on ignore?

The only poster I've ever put on ignore is buddah. You can see responses to ignored posters.

I re-watched and think there are 6 variations of, 'Like I always say.....'

I think he said "like I always say..." one time, but there were about five variations of it. He probably knew people would be counting so he tried to change up a bit. That Rip is something else.

When you put someone on ignore, you can't read their posts. There is a blank post where they posted and it says "so-and-so is on your ignore list." The only way you can read their posts directly is by taking them off your ignore list.

Unfortunately, the reponses to their posts are not blocked. But for the most part, you can eliminate them from your regular reading.

I don't know about the PM's and frankly, I wish you hadn't brought it up!:)

I used it to good effect during the Ben Wallace Malcontent Fiasco.

    LOL.

I've only put one person on ignore b/c i had to. And it was fairly pointless IMO b/c every time someone quotes their post i could see it anyway. I don't really feel the need to put ppl on ignore. If i don't want to read your post i'll skip it, and if i know we clash i won't post in threads started by that poster. Seems pretty simple to me.

So you have an ignore module embedded directly into your brain?

So far it looks like we have 3 usable options for ignoring eachother. There's the hardware version that Dre uses. There is the software version that is available on this site itself. And there is the wetware version that lpgrl26 uses on occasion.

Another possible solution would be utilizing your eyelids by setting them to the closed position (eyeware).

Yeah I had to use the hardware version because sometimes I can't get my regular work done reading all the enjoyable rhetoric that my Piston family posts during the day...:sssh::messer:

This has never kicked in here. Maybe I should lower the threshold.

Urban Dictionary: Tachy Goes To Coventry

    Also, there is banhammer.

I have one of those. Unfortunately I lost the manual and can't control it.

    What did you say?

I've never ignored any poster for reading purposes.
I just do this while reading some posts...
