Bah! Allen was a big part of the previous win against Orlando. Doesn't matter now. It's all about what have you done for me lately. Golden State will be a better game to return.
Maybe they break that home losing streak with AI sidelined for a couple of days. By all means, make sure he is very healthy before he is allowed to comeback. ...maybe when they are 35-29
Denver looks beatable without Nene. That would be a good game for AI to return. But back injuries are frustrating. It's hard to be confident when you get random jolts of pain. And AI looks like he needs a strong back to do his thing.
big mistake pistons fans ai is a superstar and should be treated with respect. other star in the nba see how he's been treated in the det all the caps space we have will gone to some 2nd string player because the player dont like superstar because thier not one they winner and player harder with ai and tay said when ai get back he got to play the way they play like he's was the problem. but rememeber when they won 7 in a row no rip and sheed who was the problem then?
Re: big mistake pistons fans You also have to remember those teams were all, except Orlando (Sheed was in the starting 5) , under .500 teams, also, Stuck was playing out of his mind in a lot of those games. To be honest, none of those wins was too convincing. Look, I like Iverson, i think he is an awesome talent, but beating the 3rd and 2nd best team in the East, on the road, without AI, right after the worst losing streak since God knows when, can't be a coincidence.
I'm no fan of Marbury, but you got to remember this is a guy who has about fifteen minutes of NBA playing time in well over a year, and probably only about one practice session with the Celtics. Still, fun to watch Bynum playing the old pit bull role. It would be great if AI would buy into playing that kind of pressure alongside him off the bench. Let Bynum pressure the ball and let AI play the passing lanes. That could cause some havoc.
Nah, Nene and AI are going to hideout in some 11 mile motel with and a blockbuster rental of Thelma and Louise.
This sounds like he'll play. I hope he does. He's on my fantasy squad and in my starting line-up for the week.
I'm really looking forward seeing a certain cerebral touch return to the Palace when the Pistons play Denver. I can't put my finger on it but it seems as if the whole mentality has been much lower since the start of the season. I'm sure that the home crowd will appreciate seeing some smart basketball for a change.
Re: big mistake pistons fans I remember there was a quote from somewhere, where Prince was basically blaming AI for carrying the team in the San Antonio game saying that they were cold when the ball was forced out of AI's hands...
mark my words: Al Iverson has played his LAAST game as a Detroit Piston. Something will come out of this back situation, but I know the type of character Iverson is. He's not as BAD as Marbury, but his resume is about as transparent. Iverson will NOT be back. Just watch. (Doesnt show up to play against Billups..what a punk)
He already showed up once and beat Billups. As for the rest, yeah good chance the music has stopped and AI doesn't have a chair. This "back" injury sounds fishy to me.
Ah, yes. You forgot about that result. If the Pistons win, he will beat Billups again. Because Iverson is a Piston, and Billups is not. A Pistons victory is an Iverson victory. How do you like them apples gorgeous? :P ;)
I think the point isn't really that he's injured but that if this was Philly, he probably plays through it.
Just because a late night hooker wears a Sunday Church dress to work , dont make her an Evangelist either!!! Dig that lubricantlicious!!!
You know the thought that he wasn't injured never even crossed my mind until i saw the blog on DETNEWS, etc. And i still think he's injured after all the spec. Go figure.
