He will be in the grieving competition sponsored by Prudential Life Insurance during TNTs All-Star Saturday night.

Ray Allen should be in 1st or 2nd. He's been awesome so far this year.

And Wade deserves to play for sure. He's been dunking everything. He's 6th in the league in dunks with 34. The only guys ahead of him are DHo, Amare, Lebron, Nene, and Bynum. That is an incredible amount of dunking for a guard.

Sheed is 101st in the league with 8 dunks on the season.

Not surprising. AI will make it. I hope CB doesn't make it. That will send Rip back into a grieving process that could take months to get out of.

edited to add; WTH is voting for Shawn Marion?

Remember, there are more Chinese basketball fans with internet access than there are Americans.

I think this is what makes All Star voting a joke. No way is Yi an All Star. The only rookie that may deserve consideration is Mayo.

Chauncey will be an MVP candidate, but not an all-star.

In looking at the dunking stats, Maxiell is in 16th place with way less playing time than the guys above him on the list. He probably is close to the top in terms of dunking frequency.

He has the 6th highest +/- on his team. He routinely gets outproduced by the guy he's matched up against. His roland rating is in the negatives behind Jarvis Hayes. He averages 27 minutes per game. His assist to turnover ratio is less than 1:1. He leads his team in fouling and he barely averages over 10 ppg.

Has there ever been a worse all-star?

Still, I voted for him too.

After reading, freep today, Rip may not be outwardly grieving, but I think he is still bewildered and angry about the trade. Grieving is okay, but bitterness is not good. I don't think he and joe will be going out for dinner any time soon.
