Isn't AI married with a couple kids?
Just because he's hosting a club night doesn't mean that he'll be approached by beautiful women with bad intentions. Anyways, he's a great defensive player, so they wouldn't be able to score on him if they tried.
Fact of the matter is that intensity is sort of well known about kg, but I've been to some of these iverson (I was also at Seldom Blues downtown the night before turkey day where he showed up, but then missed practice) club events before he became a Detroit Piston... The dude likes to hang out, not saying much is wrong with that but at this time it just would seem really out of order and hypocritical, you know what I mean Roscoe? It's like what's more important holding it down for your teammates or some silly party when you're a married man (but we both know how that goes for nba guys). Besides no spokesperson from the team has come forward to verify if that is part of the issue as someone happily & willingly did for KG..
I guess we'll see tonight, I'm hoping he's on that bench where he belongs a gets past the injury soon enough...
For the record I recall former Piston Flip Murray loved hanging out on the Detroit Party scene as well... One night I believe Detroit played the raptors in Toronto and he was still back in the D in enough time to hit club Elysium around 1am ish, seriously! I guess being a young millionaire some try to take advantage of it as much as possible... LOL!
LMAO, very funny!
If he travels on the team plane down there with them, I expect an arrival time of after midnight and he would show up right before 2AM shut down..
Celebs are always slated as hosts for clubs in LA and Las Vegas just to get the people there and the celeb makes a token 15 minute appearance, collects his bootay and heads back into the night for another appearance.
For AI to be doing it during the season>>> and when he is supposed to be rehabbing????
LP, this was an absolute masterpiece. I'm not getting why the anti AI people are being threatened for voicing their opinion. Especially since it is a CURRENT EVENT. We currently have not lost a game since you know who is not in the lineup. Absolutely no comprendo. Just use the scroll button if you don't want to read someones post. We are all Piston fans here. We want the Pistons to succeed. This includes AI and Rip. We should be able to discuss intelligently without the condescending rolling of the eyes and threats.
When I played in bands, load-in was usually late afternoon (no one was around), there would be one person restocking and doing inventory on the bar, cleanup etc.
I've had an *interesting* collection of experiences.
You have a mind for business.
I'm not making excuses. I want to get to the bottom of this.
If he's supposed to be rehabbing, he should be rehabbing. If he's serious about coming back, which is what my support for him hinges on, he better be for real.
If he isn't, I want to know so I can get off the bandwagon.
And if the Pistons org. is lying to us, I want to expose it.
Well, Flip had to work hard, he's not exactly a looker. lol
Wasn't Flip the one that got followed home from the strip club and shot at?
I'm betting this link is out of date. (And thanks for calling. I bet Natalie never does this @ need4sheed and she gets mentioned on air.)

Just because he's rehabbing his back doesn't mean he can't show up at a club and have a drink or two. It's not like he's going to be dancing or anything. He probably won't even be bobbing his head like the night at the roxbury. He's just stand there with his entourage and look cool for as long as necessary, then slip out.
I'm just hoping against hope Ernie. I know what the writing on the wall is, I'm just trying to put a positive spin on what it says. I'm a fool about a lot of things, but I'm not being foolish right now.
Matt @ DBB and Nat @ N4S made decisions a long time ago to get access. And access is super valuable, I just have no desire to do this for a career, no one in the community seemed interested, and I don't believe in holding back (even being totally wrong) in order to gain access. People do have to be selective about the questions they ask, and the stuff they report when they get that close. Very little of the media is independent.
A blog can take editorial direction, and thus become a mirror or mouthpiece or satellite or such, but a forum has too many voices, with too many diverse opinions to fit into that mold.
Chuck makes 20 mil per.
...plus the loot that Reebok is giving him.
Can the "bootay" for hosting a club party be all that much?
I mean, ...dude hits tha casino with several individual stacks of $50g held together with rubberbands.
Flip used to live in a condo not far from me

None-the-less he's having a great season with the Hawks and I picked him up on my fantasy team :D
I got a cousin and friend living in ATL. I should send them down there. This will be awesome if he's there.
I live a 2 miles from the club and will try and get to the bottom of AI in ATL 2009.
What would Bill Russell do?
If I was an NBA baller, I'd stop and ask myself this question prior to making almost any decision.
I started reading the last few posts in this thread, and i was like WTH is everyone talking about LOL.
This is by the funniest thing i've read all week. Seriously.
I don't know if this has been covered, but generally when you're hosting at a club you can just make an appearance, and only have to stay a 1/2 hour or so . . . he doesn't have to stay and party, and he doesn't even have to be on time. I guess it's a little odd that he's there (if that's even true and alot of times ppl don't show up) instead of the game since IIRC he's not supposed to travel ?
Smoke a blunt and hit the club?
What would Kenyon Martin do?
