Sweet. Stuck stepped up to the plate, looks like a good guy, and still gets to keep his favorite number. Next year, AI will be gone and #3 will still be on Stuck's back. Well played sir.

Did anyone see what AI's choice was? Did he have a jersey number at the presser?

He probably chose it as a way of honouring you.

Hell, my feelings are hurt for Chauncey. I didn't like it when they did w/ Ben but could understand it because he left. This is got to feel like a slap in the face for CB.

Is #1 official now? I think for sure when AI leaves, they will retire #1 for chauncey.

I think that all of the millions of dollars + the Finals MVP award + the NBA championship ring + the multiple all star appearances + the trade back to his hometown lessens the blow of some guy wearing his old jersey for 1 year. CB won't get bent out of shape about any of this. He made a name for himself here and seems to idolize Dumars.

Yeah, I'm not really sweatin' it. I think I'm clear as far as your checklist goes. So that's good. Plus I've had them before and nothing bad seemed to happen. And if my 16 year old son can have one on Clint Eastwood, and feel okay about it, I suppose I can too.

Perhaps there's even thread lurking in here somewhere. Perhaps Darth could start it off by letting us know about one of his NBA (or other) man crushes. How about it Darth?

Darth's man crushes could literally be a whole new website.

What if Detroit wins a title and AI is MVP?

You can retire a jersey number to honor multiple players. The Lions retired #20 to honor Barry Sanders, Lem Barney, and Billy Sims. Then again, the Lions are a "special" franchise...

I don't think we need anything to happen to determine that Flip Saunders sucks.
