M live has story about trading Delfino and someone else for Harrington. Anyone know anything? If true that's why we signed Dupe and there goes our draft picks.

I think it's more speculation than anything else. It just seems like there has to be something else going on.

I'd be surprised if we pull of a major deal before the season. For better, or WORSE, I think this is the team we're going with.

Atlanta is one of the teams that we could trade Dice to... with his trade kicker the salary imbalance wouldn't matter.

Pacers want Harrington bad. Do you think he doesn't want to go back there?? Hard feelings from being traded? Or because they are not contenders. Sure hope we don't have to lose dice..

We wouldnt give up both 1st round picks and I wouldnt want to give up either of them considering how deep next years draft is. Acquiring Harrington at a bargain price would be a great move though. How bout a future first rounder + DD and Delfino?

That's realistic... if you add in Mo's trade exception you're looking at roughly 6M in salary going out... Atlanta can make up the difference.
We can't trade our own pick next year because of a clause that says you can't trade your own pick in consecutive years...(can trade the Orlando pick)... I would think an 08 pick would be fair.

Harrington definitely wants to go to the Pacers... they may not be willing to give up one of their young prospects... takes two to tango.

I don't like that because than we are short on centers unless we use Cheik Samb.

We can re-sign Cato for as much as needed... personally I like him better than the ol fart.

Personally, I like this Cato, below. He had some decent moves in those "Pink Panther" flicks.

With the way the league is changing more and more teams are going small anyway. Once Shaq is out of the league I think thats when we'll see ALOT more teams getting smaller, basically making the 4 and 5 spot players interchangable...

Well, if you want to go back a couple thousand years, then you can't forget about "Cato the Elder". Those Romans were always tough, especially around 200 B.C. Good all-around player...

i don't think the hawks are that dumb. to take dd and cd and a first round pick. i'm afraid dice might be in the package. al is going to want 8m or more. davis's contract is 3.5m, cd bout 1m, mo te about 1.5m thats only 6m. al wants more. i would rather also give up jm and aj instead of dice. or if we can resign cato and include him.

That's one unhappy looking dude. Looks like Reggie Evans just grabbed his testiculix. I think he would be a bad influence on the younger players.

I think you have 25 or 30% difference that you can go as well, so that would be close to 8 million...

Superstarov, you couldn't resist? :pound: Man-Crush in the Forum!

Bill Walton with Dwyane Wade's rack and now Superstarov with the chiseled physique! :tsk:

Roscoe, can you write a Bill Walton description of Cato, of Roman fame?
