Isn't this the guy who gave A-Rod $20 million a decade ago? Now that he's with the White Sox and the cross-town Cubs might end up snagging the best hitter in baseball, all of a sudden he feels the need to become a "steward of the game"?
I think he'll end up signing with us in the low 20's per year, with his salary going down as he gets older. I don't mind the Cards letting him walk if he wants anywhere from 25-30 mil over 10 years.
