It was bad for CB and Rip. Ben made the all star team when we were making it to the Finals. AI has been making the all star team ever since he got into the NBA.

the question is, if AI starts as a piston next year, will he still get this much Voting?

Wow, talk about someone who doesn't deserve to be there.

it's not that i don't like him. its just that he really has zero business going there this year.

AI fandom transcends teams. It doesn't matter who he plays for.

I totally love AI, but find it completely ridiculously that he's voted to the All-Star team this year (and how about McGrady in the West -- for real).
The All-Star game I'd like to see, at least just one year, would be one between two teams voted on by the players.

They could automate the all-star selection.

Eliminate all players from teams with losing records.
Sort by ppg at each position. Take the 3 guys at the top of the list. for each position. Replace the 3rd string center with the highest scoring player who was left off, even if they were on a losing team.

In the East, that would get you:

    PG: Wade/ AI/ Nelson
    SG: J. Johnson/ Redd/ Allen
    SF: Lebron/ R. Lewis/ Pierce
    PF: Garnett/ Brand/ Turkaglu
    C: Howard/ Ilgauskas

The bonus player would be Granger.

Skip that whole procedure where China votes on it.

    PG: AI
    SG: WADE
    SF:LEBRON

    C: DH

    WEST

    PG: PAUL

Wade will win this year All star MVP award IMO.

Yea i agree..I dont think he should even be on the team let alone a starter and I'm one of the biggest AI fans out there...imo Stuckey deserves to be an Allstar more than AI this year...but AI is so popular he's one of those players that could be out injured the whole season and still be voted in as a starter or at least be top 3 at the g position...

Who says NBA fans don't like defense?

Duncan, Bowen, Artest over Carmello? That's great.

For Bruce Bowen to get more votes than Mello, Dirk, Gasol or Artest or even Tony Parker on his own team means that the whole voting system is flawed. if the polls had been open a few more days, he could have been voted a starter ahead of Amare. Somebody deep in the heart of Texas had a heavy campaign to get him almost 1.4 million votes. :6shoot:

AI coming in second is strange too, I know those votes didn't come from the fans at the palace.

The hero complex in society (the movement of most story lines): the great chain of over-coming.
