Like the title says, almost half of the season is over so lets start making predictions. I think Detroit will end up with the number 1 seed or number 4 if Chicago wins the Central. I think that they will make it all the way to the Finals and win the championship in a classic 7 game series against the Dallas Mavericks, but they certainly have to get through the Heat probably even as early as the first round. How far do you guys think this team is going to go this season?

That looks right for the No.2 seed as long as they keep ahead win-loss wise over the other 2 division winners. It sounds reasonable. I haven't lost hope during this skid I'm just glad it's now and not later in the year. Flip will need to pull his head out though because at the rate he is going now we could be in trouble.

If the season ended at this exact second, the Washington Wizards (#1 seed) would be playing the Toronto Raptors (#8 seed) in the first round of the playoffs and the Miami Heat would be in the lottery. Just like I predicted back in September...

With Webber in the fold it is us versus the Heat. It is going to be a war.

Since the trade, I can see the Pistons as first or second seed going into the playoffs but I cannot see CWebb making a diff if we have to play Miami. I think either Shaq or his alter-ego having their way with him. I hope I am wrong.

After the trade deadline, more from this corner.

i disagree sheed and webber on the court at the same time will make miami have to defend us. miami killed us by clogging the paint when we couldn't hit jump shots. miami also employed hack a ben which won't be effective with webber because he can hit 50% of his free throws. i think maimi's most effective methods against us were ben related.

In theory, Webber is an idea cover for Shaq -- they're both strong and immobile. The Heat might not be able to exploit Webber on D so much with Shaq in the game.

    Go Pats!

Will have to wait until the trade deadline is finished. Seeds 1-4 looks about right.

Then again, it might be lower after the month of March. All those pathetic losses (especially at home) to bottom teams may come back to haunt us.

#1 Eastern conference seed. NBA Finalists. Then anything can happen.
