Well, Delfino did not end up doing too badly last night. A plus 6 in his team's win. But bad shooting in the 2nd half meant not too a good stat on shooting. 37 minutes, 16 points. 4 steals, just one foul. 8 rebounds. After starting 3 of 4 on triples, he just hit 3 shots the rest of the night out of 11 more tries. In all though, I will take Amir's game. Plus 19. Sure he fouled too much. But I bet he contended against more shots in his 22 minutes than anybody else did for the game. And by far. A defender that active is invaluable.
Bynum is already licking his chops... could break his scoring record the first time we play the Heat.
seriously, how many wins would you give this starting 5? : C- Darko Milicic PF- Amir Johnson SF- Rodney White SG- Carlos Delfino PG- Carlos Arroyo and which current pistons rookie would you nominate as 6th man candidate to play with this squad?
That's a helluva team right there. Lots of "active defenders" and guys with quick hands! ...70 games - no problem.
Yea, and even if they lost all 82 games, there is no doubt they would put together off-the-chart 48-minute stats and plus-minus numbers.
It would be Afflalo, not a current Piston. A seventh man though would be JMAX. Arroyo does not fit the rest of the group, since he is not a strong defender. I think Will Blaylock would be a better fit.
If his ankle can stay healthy, I'd definitely include Mejia - and he would be the best defender of them all. (except maybe Amir when you count in his activity level.)
And it's ironic that Will is most remembered for his ability to hit the three. My choice for 6th man would be "Glinny" just for his size and presents in the paint.
LB would be the ideal coach. Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown fined $60,000 for ref incident - ESPN
Sorry, but you can't judge number of wins based on the starters. Its how deep the team is that matters. It depends on how good the bench is beyond the 7 guys I have mentioned so far.
