Ok, here' your team: C- Darko, ??? PF- Amir, Maxiell SF- Rodney White, Trevor Ariza SG- Delfino, Afflalo PG- Blaylock, Arroyo Mejia is the 11th man You can see I did not choose a backup Center behind Darko. This is for you to choose. Feel free to round out the last couple roster spots, too, if you wish. And of course a Season Win Total projection.
It's kind of like this whole thread. Sometimes I'm not sure if Amir, Delfino, and Darko are actually gone. Also, I haven't seen much of Sammy Mejia these days, either. Is he already in Kuester's doghouse?
***WARNING-48 minute stats, low sample size, former player, etc.*** The statistics contained herein do not bear any relation to reality and cannot be counted on to predict future performance. Amir vs. Maxiell Preseason 48 minute stats (Actual mpg ave: AJ 19.6, JM 20.0) Stat/Amir/JMax pts/ 16.7/ 13.9 reb/ 17.1/ 11.5 ast/ 2.0/ 1.2 stl/ 2.4/ 1.2 blk/ 3.4/ 1.2 TO/ 1.6/ 3.0 PF/ 7.6/ 6.7* (foul calls up 10% so far with replacement refs)
What would be cool, would be to figure out the avg # of minutes played by 7th men. Then make that the baseline for comparing scrubs. Like 14.5 minute stats.
I think I'll just start posting 4.8 minute stats instead to satisfy the realists. Stat/Amir/JMax pts/ 1.67/ 1.39 reb/ 1.71/ 1.15 ast/ 0.20/ 0.12 stl/ 0.24/ 0.12 blk/ 0.34/ 0.12 TO/ 0.16/ 0.30 PF/ 0.76/ 0.67
A more reasonable discussion. I'm still interested in tangible results from Hollinger's "PER" crap... you know little things like wins & losses... team defense etc. Good luck
Just to annoying and thorough, the player on each team who plays the 7th most minutes (last season) averaged 22.4 per game. High was 29.5 (Kaman / Clippers) and low was 15.6 (Armstrong / New Orleans). Maxiel is third from the bottom for the Pistons.
If Amir has continued to grow this summer like he has in previous offseasons, he should be approaching 7'8" by now. With Amir at center and Bosh at forward, the Raps might have the biggest frontcourt in the NBA.
That's why I posted the picture. You can see that Amir is significantly taller than Bosh... and that pic is dated.
No, I'm just the regional viral marketing lead for BDA Sports Management. This year, Austin Daye will be the player that I'm supposed to promote.
