I believe I have figured it out. The reason we fired Millen now and not last year is because the FORDS where waiting for the GM they wanted. The person they wanted WOULD NOT be available until 2009. He has a style very similar to the Ford family. If by style I mean habit of taking something good and making it BAD. Of course, I am talking about the MAN, MYTH and legend: Mr. George W Bush. He knows as much about running a football team as Millen (look no further then what he was able to do with the Rangers). Plus, Bush should have enough pull to get a bailout for the Fords (both the company) and the Lions (not many more loses before the state of Mi and the city of Detroit give up and stop watching/attending). Mark my words. LIONS 2009 GM... W.. and with the 1st pick in the NFL draft the LIONS re draft CHARLES ROGERS!! and with the 22nd pick from Dallas the Lions re draft Michael Williams.. I can see it now!!! God why can't I just be a Tampa Bay Bucs fan?? My love for the Lions is pathetic!!
You'd like for W to be the GM. You think it would give all of Detroit status. Try hoping for Pioli. You'll feel better.
I can't believe Millen thought that there would be a secret strategy to beat the Packers that he could pick up on a phone call. He just lost a hunting buddy.
