The guy is 6'11" and has regularly improved over the course of his career. Once again issues will be a problem in the league and he has his own problems. But who better to trade with than our fellow cellar dwellers? Think we can convince those guys in Washington to take CV or BG? Throw in everyone not named Monroe, Knight and Jerebko.

That amount seems about right to me.

For the record, put me down on the list that IS interested in 'Dre Blatche.
I'm pretty much interested in any and all young bigs in the NBA.

No. He's supposedly a major head case. We'll have our third cornerstone star in the 2012 draft. Monroe is definitely one of those 3, Knight seems likely to be one of those 3. Our 2012 draft pick should be the third. That's a potentially great 3 man core to build around. Find quality players and citizens and team oriented guys who fit what we build with that threesome over the next decade. That's the formula for becomming a championship team again - not adding headcases and problem children like Blatche.

I don't think that "good people" necessarily equals "good basketball team." If the skill levels are similar, I think I would rather have an extremely competitive player with a chip on his shoulder than a nice guy with a great attitude.

Ray Allen is supposedly a very nice guy and great team player. He is also one of the best pure shooters in the league. Would you rather have Ray Allen on your dream basketball team or the malcontent Kobe Bryant?

CV, Bengo or Tay for Blatche and I'm in. I wouldn't take on his contract unless they take one of those.

If the deal includes CV then yes... I do also share the concern about Blatche blocking a young studs minutes (2012 pick)... if you can slide JJ over to SF then there would be enough PT for GM, Blatche, Pick
So the key may be moving Tay

Only and only if the Wizards will take CV. The Wizards have the youngest team in the NBA, I would even consider one of their other rookie bigs that they have on their bench. Jan Vessley looks really good. SInce I am here in D.C., I watch all of the Wizards games. Blatche seems to always be in the news about his exploits. He has a lot of growing up to do. If you are looking for a leader, Blatche is not your guy. I think the entire organization was waiting to see whether his leadership skills would emerge with this young bunch of players.

Blatche is still upside seven years into the league, and is on contract for four more years for only slightly less than CV. I don't see any real benefit.

From the guy who constantly goes to bat for Demarcus Cousins, just say no to Andray Blatche. He isn't the answer to any of the teams problems other than being tall.

Not interested. He is what he is, and that is a guy who gives you 10 points, 7 rebounds a game, and can't help you win games. He's 100% journeyman material.

I'd do that deal. At least Blache can bring you a few blocks a game plus some attitude. Right now Daye brings nothing.

I wouldn't call him a headcase. A knucklehead perhaps, but not a head case. I believe his heart is in the right place most of the time but just doesn't always pick the best method of dealing with issues and things.

With the right environment I think he could definitely help us. He can have all 10.8 of Tay's field goal attempts per game as far as I'm concerned.

kinda sad when the spare parts that are out there are considered better than some of our starters.....

Were we the Motor City Choir Boys when we won back to back Championships? The point of having character guys on your team is so that you can get the most out of your knuckleheads.

We tend to remember things through rose colored glasses. While the Spare Tires were a top notch dance team...I'm not sure that would translate to athletic skills on the basketball court.
