Good Afternoon my fellow forumites. Another Day down in the Zone. I have 29 days and a wakeup, then HOMEWARD BOUND.

Well, I for one would be more than glad to add Ronald Flip Murry to my team. This guy is solid and undervalued.

Very nice backup for Rip Hamilton, but what would become of Delfino. Would he spend more time backing up Tayshaun?

    Get the Deal done Joe.

Flip definitely brings instant offense. If we jettisoned the whole idea of having at least decent defensive players, then he is a perfect fit.

Are Sheed, Tay, Hunter and to a lesser extent Rip and Delfino not decent defensively?

Absolutely. Flip would not be though. That's my point.

My point was that the players we currently have are more than average defensively, one player i.e. Flip Murray wouldn't change that, but one coach could i.e. Flipper  . Our defense is only going to be as strong as Flips insistence on it.

I see your point especially as it pertains to Flip's role in the defensive identity of the team. The point I was making though is that for the past 6-7 years Joe has made it an initiative to only pick up players that are at least adequate on the defensive end. That is part of the famous "Pistons DNA" so affectionately mentioned in the forums.

I think Joe is primarily looking for a creative scorer so that the offense doesn't get bogged down. The Pistons have never been able to get over the offensive lulls for many years and under 3 different HC.

I agree, if you look at the pistons over the past two years, we have not had that great finisher. Someone who could penetrate and score. We always looked for that one person who was hot to bail us out.

And don't forget about the scoring droughts. ERRRRRRRG.

Hopefully he is the guy that will bring more offense to Detroit and fill in the spots that we are lacking-he averaged 11.2 points per game last year-which is what we need!

I would hope we don't have an interest in Flip Murray.

    Flip Murray and Flip Saunders.

I'd do a sign an trade with them for Flip Wilson and Flipper the dolphin.

Flip Murray's defense is laughable, but Flip Wilson is hilarious all around.

Flipper the dolphin is more intelligent than Flip Saunders.

    Get it done Joe.:fingerscr

Maybe with so many Flips around they will get rid of this 'flip the switch' on effort ideology this team sometimes has.

I have been hearing for quite some time it was Flip Murray or Marcus Banks.

I was leaning towards Banks for his defense, figured he could spell Lindsey when Lindsey decides to go up into the mountains and "talk to the Great Spirit" :eyebrows:

I'll be happy with Murray though. He's capable of putting up nice numbers when given PT....

Have you guys flipped your flipping wigs. You are beginning to remind me of that commercial about Dr. Scholl's gel inserts.

Are you Jellin, no, I am mellon, here's my bride helen LOL.

Flip would be a great addition. Another one of those need to prove something guys. of course I would rather have Juan Dixon. Marcus Banks ain't bad either.

I'm in this corner... yeah the guy can score... unfortunately his teammates won't get to touch the ball... very selfish player...
Hopefully this Harrington rumor is true (S&T).

A bad choice on all levels. I want no part of Murray.

If you're not going to give Acker and Delfino a chance now, when the Pistons aren't contenders and have all the time in the world to develop them into NBA players...

If we can get Flip Murray and get a tough assistant coach who knows defense that would work out nicely.
