    That would be Mike.

I would however just like to take this opportunity to reinerate again how vastly overrated Reggie Miller was.

What would we have to do to get Mike Miller?

    Try this on for size...............

Keep in mind that we have AI now so we don't need that scoring that we counted on Rip for previously. I think Miller has a better all-around game and fits what we have in place better.

    Maybe? :sssh:

There has to be a way to get Rip his favorite shots. He's quite a weapon when used correctly.

Don't get me wrong, I love Rip but besides his scoring what else does he bring to the table? His D is weak (although tiring his guy out on the other end by trying to keep up with his nonstop running helps to tire him out) and he's not good rebounder or distributor.

I'm open to the idea of trading Rip.
    ...but not for Mike Miller.

I can't recall a time where another player said he was tired or appeared to falter from chasing Rip around all game.

I think people have become better at playing Rip. And in return, Rip scores in a lot more ways now than he used to.

I know Mike Miller can score. Can he defend? We need help on defense, not offense. Our offense will come from our D. This crap about being able to the set the defense if we make shots is overblown IMO. Both trigger one another, but defense is effort, and if we had played D last night, even with our scoring woes, we might have been in that game.

It's really looking like Rip isn't as effective w/o CB.

    Rip for Caron Butler?

    Rip for Danny Granger?

    Rip for Kevin Martin?

    Rip for Manu?

    Rip for Josh Howard?

    Rip for OJ Mayo?

Boston's D is so dominated by KG, like our defense used to be anchored by Ben. It has a chain reaction where the perimeter defenders can cheat outward.

We aren't scaring people away from our paint lately. Sheed is playing the PF's pretty well and Kwame is bodying up on the big centers, but the no fly zone has not been established in the least.

Maybe the trade should have been Rip and change for AI. We would still have CB at PG and managing the floor and Rip could cry in Denver. No confusion as to who the SG is and what is expected out of them.

Maybe so. If Rip had signed the 5 year deal instead of CB and Afflalo was the guy of the future instead of Stucky then we may have saw that.

I like this trade. May have to throw in a pick or something but it would be worth it. Nothing against Rip but we need more size.

No to trading Amir under any circumstances and no to acquiring Gerald Wallace, an average player at best. Rip is someone I would trade at the right price and since Rip and Kaman has approximately the same amount of money and the same amount of years, I'd make the trade and I'd give up a first rounder or two of this year's 2nd rounders.

Rip for Kaman would be soooo good for us. Start Afflalo in his place, get Kwame back to the bench, put an actual competent center next to Sheed...

Just found out Kaman has a trade kicker (15% added to his salary)... no deal happenin' this year... next year it's possible.
