Is Curry allowed to go below .500 while figuring out his rotation ?
His job is safe but the pressure of the Palace Crowd may be too much !

He won't get fired this early. Maybe by mid-season if we are below .500 then again he did not make the AI deal.

If it comes down to AI, Joe or Mike, Mike is gone.

Of course: JD did make the AI deal and he won't blame Curry. The end result becomes an exercise on the old say: "the most critical thing, is to keep your head, while all those around you, are losing theirs".

Coach gets this season to make it work, regardless of the record, as long as we make the playoffs. Next year, we re-evaluate this thread.

Absolutely not, and not even the "we're rebuilding" can save them. there is no excuse for this team.

No, if you mean they end up sub .500 at the end of the regular season.

Yes, if you mean they right the ship by mid-February.

Its been made clear that its all about the playoffs with the pistons, the only way the coach goes before getting to the playoffs to prove himself is if we are out of the playoff race and the team is in full revolt....

    Don't see that happening.

I'm not sure if i understood the poll, so forget about my vote. but what i want to say is that of course he should be allowed to drop below a .501 win record. larry brown was allowed to do so, and in the season immediately following a championship no less. this guy is a new coach, with a new (major player) and a whole lot of young guys that will have to play important roles, the conference and division he is in are probably better. so, hell yes, give him a break and give him a chance. now, if he's still under .501 at the all star break... ask me then.

If Curry does fail this early in his coaching career he would go down in history with Butch Van Breda Kolff and Jerry Tarkanian. That couldn't happen...could it?

Curry is still failing upwards. It's premature to discuss his demise.

I really can't understand why everyone is so down on Curry. I guess it goes with the title, but I don't see him as the problem.

Curry is doing OK by me. You gotta expect some stumbles with a first time coach. It's a tough job.

If he'd quit jackin' off with the rots and settle on a rot he wouldn't be a loser. We have to much depth to be squandering victories.
We need Kwam to stay focused so let him get 12 min. max per game. Start of the first and 3rd quarters.
