This Sunday Vikes come to town. With an inexperienced QB but a budding stud rookie RB in A. Peterson. I say we get some !!! All afternoon. - Jones (foot) reportedly looked good in his second hard workout of the week on Thursday, MLive.com reports. That said, it seems likely that the Lions will sit Jones until next week, and ease him back into the mix then. Recommendation:... More This from Yahoo Sports. Nice player info there.
It sure does look like a winnable game. I am still reserving a judgement on whether Marinelly has been able to mold this into a different team and not just the same ol' Lion bull. I am cautiously optimistic.
Play it close to the vest as possible, but go deep about 50 times. Maybe we will get lucky 30 times and beat them 40 to 20.
The Lions currently have a better record than Michigan. Is this the first time in history that this has happened? Researchers? Tape analyzers?
Unfortunately, I'm busy on another project. I need to start delegating more. If I had to guess, I would say that there have probably been times when the Lions were 1-0 and Michigan was 1-1. So, technically, the Lions would have the better record.
Anyone know if the tickets sold out? I heard this morning that there were still 2000 left. I hope this game isn't blacked-out in Detroit...
Officially sold out. Look for the air attack to start right away. Force Jackson to try to pass from being behind. Look for the Vikes to use AP out of the backfield on swing passes and such.
It seems like when the Lions play the Vikings at home they lose a close high scoring game they should have won by blowing a late lead. I figure we will see that again this weekend. Now...when we play them in Minny we will get blown out.
If they control the line of scrimage we're done. Kitna is fairly athletic but he needs to set his feet when passing.
Vikings have beat us like 9 times in a row. They are not a good team, but the dominate us by overwhelming our blockers and stuffing our rushers.
Last year they had the best run dee !? They draft smarter of course, even before Millen got here, better linemen usually better QB, almost as good as the Steelers.
