According to realgm.com Ron Artest has told CBSsports.com that he WILL play with the Lakers and said money is no object.

That means as long as he and Kobe don't choke each other in practice, the Lakers can do a three peat again and all other deals done this year and next are are just so fans can come to see their team go through the motions to see who loses to them in the western conference finals and THE finals

If money is no object, why can't Joe convince him to come to Auburn Hills and give his own recording studio?

It's basically a done deal. He's met w/ management, talked to Phil, and is excited to play with his BFF Odom.

Yeah I am listening to it on the local radio station. They are even discussing how some teams (contenders) are all bringing in the best players and the rest are just going through the motions

    KLAC-AM Player

Basically they are replacing Ariza with Artest...and we all know who is better there....

Now, big question for Clev, do you go after a Big, or Ariza???? When you think about it, Clev may very well suck next season, a whole bunch of undersized guards, LeBron, and 2 old centers.

CLE fans are freaking out. They say Artest is the only player that intimidates Lebron and can guard him consistently.

edited to add; I wouldn't be surprised if Ariza goes to the Rockets or whatever team loses out on Turkey.

Ariza is a system player, I don't think he's value outside of being a 4th option when the other 3 are really, really good players.

Lebron and Artest met for dinner here last night..guess the King could not offer Ronny enough money or incentives to come back to Cleveland with him....I like living out here too...

This move kinda reminds me of when the Bulls acquired Rodman......................hmmmm, how many ships did they win after that move?

We may be the only 2 people on the planet who are not impressed with the Shaq trade. Reminds me of when Toronto got Olajuwon or Orlando got Ewing at the end of their careers.

Artest however can still play. They are going to be good.

There are 3 of us. Shaq is a roadblock for Lebron.

    Make it 4.

And so the Knights of the Ron (Scoring) Table were formed to combat evil and protect the Kingdom from barbarians.

    6.

It makes them slower; even worse defensively on the PNR, and Shaq takes up space that used to be reserved for LBJ drives.

It's rumored Brown is currently devising plays that institute something called 'the no parking zone'.

    LOL

It is going to be fun to watch. It worked with Wade b/c he had a good mid range game. LBJ doesn't.

I'm glad to see you say this. I want to disagree with you cause we agree too much. I was beginning to get spooked.

Shaq will get his double qtr pounder filled body outta the way. I think he still has some left in the tank. I think these two are going to be great together. Maybe not enough to get past Boston, but....
