A trio of players from the Denver Nuggets -- Wilson Chandler, Kenyon Martin and J.R. Smith -- are the most prominent NBA free agents to sign in China and forgo the right to play in the NBA this season before March, unless any of their Chinese teams elect to release them outright.

I didn't know that. Wow, no JR Smith or Kenyon Martin. No wonder the owners don't seem to care if the season happens or not.

That's exactly why I'm not going to play fantasy basketball this year even if there IS a season. ;)

I just signed up for a Guangdong Fantasy Keeper League. The mock drafts are a little tricky since they are in Chinese. I just sent Lee356 a PM to see if he could help translate.

I've lived in Guangdong province. Pretty high population density in some of those cities. Hot Rod's "assistances by collision" are going to go way up.

Jeremy, your signature quotes Rascoe as saying he lol'd.

I think I remember him saying that, but didn't realize at the time he was saying he "Laughed Out Louded". :pound:

Nice job Arnie! Going beyond his immediate responsibilities to create a better outcome for the players.

Kobe hurt his wrist in the preseason game against the Clippers. I think DeAndre Jordan pulverized him.

    Read two good articles today.
First off, Kyle Singler is apparently pretty happy in Spain:

Then an interesting take on the most recent Ilitch signing:

My guess is that Singler looked at the Detroit situation and panicked. He saw a team in complete disarray, and he wanted to experience pro basketball in a less toxic environment. Sure...he'll come back if the Piston's situation clears up somewhat. Would he be playing in Europe if most of the other teams drafted him.......My guess is a resounding NO.........I'm happy for the guy as he gets to work on his game not surrounded by all the negativity of this franchise.

He just saw Prince, Jerebko, and Daye ahead of him and imagined 82 games of garbage time and talk about how he needs to earn his playing time.

I think Singler left for Europe simply because he feared losing an entire season of basketball with the lockout. It had nothing to do with what team held his draft rights.
