He'd be the only guy to ever get boooed during his HOF induction ceremony. It would be AWESOME. His speach would make Michael Jordan's seem heartwarming. ...again, it would be AWESOME.
I can't believe Laimbs isn't in the HOF yet. I just hope that he gets inducted as a player and not as a WNBA coach (although his resume there is also HOF-worthy).
Laim Laimbeer still didn't make this year either.... New inductees will include Reggie Miller, Jamal Wilkes and Ralph Sampson Ex-Indiana Pacers' Reggie Miller, coach Don Nelson getting call to Hall of Fame - ESPN
How about the parents of Gladys and Bubba Knight and the parents of Duane and Gregg Allman Their kids are both in the the R & R HOF....
I used to love watching Jamal Wilkes and that whirling shot that he had. Even with such a wild shooting motion, he still shot almost 50% for his career. That being said, there is no possible way that Wilkes should be a HOFer before Bill Laimbeer.
Happy for Silk, always thought Reggie was one of the more overrated players in the game. And while I'm overjoyed to see a fellow Wahoo in the Hall, it's not quite clear exactly what Ralph did to get there.
Laimbeer: 13 points per game, 50% field goal, 10 rebounds per game, 84% free throw, 34,000 minutes played.. Sampson: 15.4 points per game, 49% field goal, 9 rebounds per game, 66% free throw, 13,500 minutes played.. Stats look similar.........except for minutes played.
The ESPN article above talked about Ralph mostly getting in for his college years. Is carrying one team to the final four and not winning in four years good enough to get you in? Guess so.
Stan Van Gundy liberates himself in exposing Dwight Howard's power play for a new Magic coach - NBA - Yahoo! Sports D-Ho Doh!!!
I never liked SVG, but I liked that interview. Howard looked like a 6 year old who just got caught swiping cookies and he's denying it with chocolate smeared all over his face. Sometimes you forget still how young these kids really are.
