This kind of stuff happens all the time. I remember Rascoe getting an escort to
the 150th anniversary celebration of Mackenzie Hall back in Sandwich, Ontario.
People were picketing at Mill Park for weeks due to his favourable treatment......

Rockets are planning to experiment with Howard at PF and Asik at C. Asik/Howard would be a tough tough lineup to score against. On the other end of the court, with Parsons, Lin and "The Beard", they won't have too much spacing issues either. Could be very interesting to watch.

This looks like a good primer for our "newer Piston fans" to catch up on some history.
If you liked the "Goin to Work" dudes, you'll freaking LOVE the Bad Boys!

I watched part of Game 5 of the '88 finals last night.
I know that the Pistons lost that series but man, our team was awesome!

It's been a number of years since I've watched any Bad Boys era games and a couple of things struck me:
    - Laimbeer might be one of the best outlet passers ever! That dude could single-handedly turn a rebound into a fast break like very few players that I've ever seen. He'd snag a board, his hands would almest never drop below his shoulders and he'd fire a perfect pass to a streaking Piston. ...those passes were good for several easy buckets each game!

    - From top to bottom, that roster was totally 100% focused. During player intros, all the Pistons had that "1,000-Yard Stare". -Totally serious and focused! No chest bumps. No funny handshakes/high 5s. All business. Even Chuck D had it. That look seemed to never change during the game. You don't see that kind of intensity very often anymore.

    - Isiah was an amazing passer! People think of him as a scorer or a tough competitor (...and he WAS those things); however that dude could dime as good as any player to ever lace 'em up (Magic, Stockton, Cousy, ...anyone!).

Speaking of Laimbeer (at least, people were two weeks ago), here's an absolutely fascinating article with some good insight as to why Laimbeer will probably never coach in the NBA.

    Thanks for posting this.
The way i see it, "Laimbeer" isn't the reason that he can't get a NBA coaching job; "today's NBA" is the reason that he can't get a coaching job.
