    Little bit about Ron Harper

He was on both Phil Jackson Championship teams and was essentially a role player with a great basketball IQ and a commitment to defense. Prior to his career with the Bulls he was earlier considered to be Jordan like athleticly but he never showed that part of his game in Chicago. His skills had already deterioated. He knows what it takes to win and should be a welcome addition to the staff.

Ron was used as a big point guard under Phil. Hope he can teach some of his playmaking know-how to Acker and possibly Delfino. Both could be big serviceable back-up PG's and could give the Pistons a lot of options on the floor. Hopefully Harper's defensive prowess also rubs off on the guards especially the un-intense Delfino and the long-armed Acker.

    5 Ring Man !

Lets not forget who else he played under:hail: THE GREAT LB in clipper land so he can say to C.B. and C.A. hey PLAY THE RIGHT WAY GUYS lol

seriuos though he was a smart tough player who has been in the league a long time and should be good with the players incase good guy Flip has to be bad guy Flip. That and if he flashes off those rings of his it might just motivate some guys.

I am asking this though is curry still playing cuz I thought he was suppose to start coaching when he quit ???????

Curry recently was hired as VP of player development for the NBDL...
As the union president he helped change the rule so Darko could enter the draft (Euro age restriction)... now he helped put the NBDL minor league system into effect sooner... he's still helping us in that regard.

I think Curry would be a good interview for one of our local writers... never mind what was I thinking.

    Ron....

    Ok, :)

Anyway, yeah, Tex Winters designed that offense and Phil Jackson just sat by the sidelines, gave out whistle signals and got the rings. He was blessed with championship ready teams. Which is why I never really gave him much credit for his championships.

Ron Harper was a great player during the Jordan and Phil's Lakers era. Yes, he did have a penchant for defense but had a decent offensive game for those open jumpers and three balls. He was a great teammate and locker room presence as well and could help in reaching out to the players not that Flip has any problem in that area. :eyebrows:

Well it's always great to have a good assistant coach to help you win if the head coach isn't there... Gar Heard.

It's got to be the shoes, man

It should have said, "But these shoes will give you as many NBA World Championship rings as me."
