Cheers to that. I just hope RoundBall One picked him up in ATL. Did we ever find out if he was indeed hosting at the club or was Eli Zaret lying to us?
Yeah, I can't stand Chauncey. It was painful to have to watch him play a game again frankly. Irregardless of his obvious talent, everytime he walked the ball up the court I fell some kind of PTSD happening. Also I was afraid they might try to reverse the trade while he was in town and the next game he'd be back in a Pistons uni!(I know it's past the trade deadline, but I got paranoid anyway.) Likes and dislikes on that kind of personal projection level are very irrational and arbitrary. There are a few basketball reasons I don't like him, but they aren't big enough to warrant my aversion. I just don't like the guy. Way too cool for school, but not cool cool, uncool cool instead.
This is where a smart%%%%% would mention that OLD SKOOL claims Sheed would get thrown out more if the refs weren't so lenient with him, but that wouldn't be me 'cuz I'm a dumb%%%%%.
On a different note... You guys and your playa hatin'. I really don't understand it. I can't think of a single player in the NBA that I feel that way toward, much less a Piston/ former Piston. Billups is so laid back and cool. You act like he's Barry Bonds or something.
I think he mentioned that AI was back in the locker room getting treatments and that he wouldn't be coming out the other night. Maybe that's just what they told him and he didn't know any better. Or maybe AI was back in there. Doesn't really matter, but I was just curious after all the hype.
I just don't like the dude. Same with Kimmie I suppose. You don't see us posting on Nuggets boards talking junk, or every time he has a bad game posting about it here. Something about Den came up in the podshow tonight, and I had no idea what the answer was. The Nuggets are slightly less important than the Hawks to me, which is to say they are totally irrelevant except BDL lives in their town and I like him.
I think he will help the team. I have a gut feeling that AI is going to suck it up and make the bench his personal statement. He really has an opportunity to help the team.
In reality, he is going to be much more than a bench player because he's still going to get 25+ minutes per game. So, he really can have as big of an impact as before if he plays well because he won't have to defer half as often.
2nd that. I have a friend/co-worker who is a Mod at "Nuggets Talk". He knows I'm a Pistons/NBA guy and he's asked me to join him over there for a long time now. I have absolutely NO desire to do so. I admit that I do have a heightened awareness (that's not saying much) of the Thuggets since the AI/Chauncey trade but I could care less about those idiots (Chauncey excluded). Denver is a 2nd tier team and will be as long as Melo is in the equation. For instance, this year - they'll finish 5th in the West and lose in the 1st round of the playoffs. Plus, Colorado Ave's fans have ruined all chances of me getting behind any of the local teams here. They're by far, the most uninformed jackasses to ever lend support to a pro franchise. ...and John Elway is their large-toothed leader.
I'll check it for you. Ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass. ....ass.
Plus - how long was he playing hurt with this back injury. That has to make a difference when he comes back.
