I agree with the thoughts on Stuckey's off the ball play. And maybe this was part of Joe D's scheme. Play Stuckey at the point because he half-hearted could, find a veteran AND young point guard, and move Stuckey to the 2. He knew BG is good for 25 to 30 minutes off the bench (so maybe he over paid a little bit for him). But if T-Mac wants to stick around for that 4-5 mil range, and White turns out to be a solid point guard, we are set at the 1, 2, 3 (JJ and Daye), 4 with CV and Max, and Monroe at the 5...so we are 2 or 3 pieces away from being a solid Eastern contender.
I think we are 1 move away from being competitive with the Knicks, Hawks and Magic (Boston and Miami are in a totally different stratosphere) if we can turn $17.65M of wasted payroll (Max and Rip) into Z-Bo, David West, Tyson Chandler, Kendrick Perkins etc etc then we could really compete at a high level.
