At Boston Nov 20 8PM tv: TNT Time for some payback. Will the AI lead Pistons be far enough along to beat the World Champs in their building? We will see on National TV.
Awfully tough game on the second night of a back-to-back, but there's some precedent from Denver last week. They were at Cleveland and then at Boston on two consecutive nights, and though they lost to Cleveland, they won at Boston.
If we are aggressive and competitive for 4 qtrs and stay close, we can fight off any leprechans in stripes and the game is ours for the taking. If they play like they did the last two Sundays then look for Barkley to say that we are turrible
We are going to need some good min from Max, KB, and AJ. Sheed and AI logged 41 min against the Cavs. AI could probably go for 41 again, however Sheed is a different animal!
Sheed is playin younger since the trade. He seems to have fit right in with AI. I dont think he'll have a problem. I am hoping to get some help from Tay and Rip and hopefully MC gets Max and AA and the briggade some minutes.( earlier than the second half;)
I'm with you on this. If our other bigs can check Perkins, Powe and Davis from scoring and getting offensive rebounds, we should be able to get the W. If AA can stop Lebron, he definitely can stop PP. The only 'people' we need to worry about are those in black and white stripes esp we are playing at Boston.
No single person stops LeBron. The Pistons as a team slowed him down some last night. Plus, LeBron seemed a little off in the 4th quarter. It's nice when a guy racks up 25 points, 6 boards, 6 assists, and 4 steals, and we say he has been stopped.
Lebron is shooting an eFG% of .358 from outside the paint and he takes 55% of his shots from there. That is how you contain him. He's just not as good of a shooter as he thinks he is. Dare him to shoot. Similar to Stuckey, who is shooting .260 on his jumpers this year.
However you remember those two sequences when he went through four Pistons to get to the hoop and all of them stepped aside. It is one of the ESPN hilights that I have seen already 3 times this morning...so the four on one doesn't always work... well at least it didn't in the first half also it was the first team to 85 as you predicted:D
Perkins really has gotten a lot better. Powe and Davis are a lot bigger (and better I'm afraid) than DET's backups.
We really haven't fired on all cylinders since getting AI. That is the reason for my internal optimism right now. We are beating good teams while some of our best players are having poor performances. It will be fun to see what happens in a game where Rip is hitting everything he looks at and we're getting PIP + free throws, and so on. Tonight is probably not the night when that happens though. Here's hoping.
Blow out, Pistons win big... AI goes off for 41 and Kwame has 15 and 15 in the third when he is ejected for throwing KG into the third row. Rip and Allen end up looking like alley cats after a particularly bad night with a full moon.
In the past couple of seasons in big games, Rip seems to come out nervous and tight, forces shots and then gets mad and off track if he gets fouled without a call. Since he is still grieving, lets hope he is not to far off base, and CB calls him to remind him that Biullups and his new team beat the C's on their court last Friday.
Good no Tommy Homer Points We either get Kevin Harlan and Doug Collins or Marv Albert and Mike Fratello
