It's such a nice day, the fellas and I decided to start drawing up plans for my new tool shed. Hopefully that won't stop me from watching the Pistons continue to eclipse their win total from last season.

Let's bring down the house! Go Pistons!

In no danger of losing our 7th pick in the draft or any hope of moving up so these games - wins or losses really mean nothing other than playing for pride. But why now are they all of a sudden clicking? Playing for next seasons contract/status in the organization?

Anyway - they look pretty good out there. Stuck with 24 points and 11 assists off the bench. CV nailing shots - just like the end of last season.

Just saying hi - and bye. I enjoyed watching the game tonight. Always like to see a win. Gores = hope. For now. I won't invest too much time thinking about next season until I know there will be one.

I was watching the Pistons post game interviews, and it seems like Kuester is already trying to make a good impression with his new boss with the Gores pose.

It looks like we're clicking a little better because we seem to have guys actually falling into roles and a rotation. Amazing what happens when a coach lets players know whats going on.

Not trying to defend Kuester here, but with the shorter rotations (9 to 10 players), it certainly help. Anyway, we have been playing against teams that are similar to us recently (teams which are out of the playoffs).

WOW! When you need someone to step up and deliver in critical games at the end of the season, Stuckey and Chazzie V are your guys. Can you say CLUTCH!

they are afraid that high level draft picks may push them aside , therefore it is time to step up and play!

    :stirthepot:

but talking seriously - is it a coincidence how Wilcox plays his ass off as soon as monroe emerges as a reliable starter?

and a random thought: I'm sure, several GMs quietly regret why they did not nab Rip at the trade deadline for...nothing.

Stuckey's actually been playing really good ball for awhile now, minus the spat with Kuester.

Perhaps the reason that the Pistons are clicking is because they are playing a string of games against other lottery teams (Milwaukee, New Jersey, Charlotte).

Other than pride, there is no incentive to win right now. Pistons seem to be locked in at the #7 spot, but for other lottery teams, more wins = less ping pong balls.

I think it has more to do with Q not jerking around with the lineups anymore and the fact that the better Monroe gets, the more other teams have to focus on him and that draws attention away from keeping Wilcox off the boards and also frees him up to cut to the basket. That's when Wilcox seems to be at his best. He's like your classic PF next to a star center. Think: Otis Thorpe with Olajuwon. Thorpe was in no way dominant when he played for DET, but he was on top of his game in Houston.
