...and the quintessential yelling by Adrian prior to the big fight.
I want to add, there is no better fight music than... Eye Of The Tiger
I don't know. Whenever I watch this, I wanna punch something.
Whoa! That's tough.
I don't think people understand how good the Cavs are defensively. It's sorta like the myth that AI's scoring ability was the main reason that PHI team made the finals . . . West is a great defensive guard. Varejo (sp?) plays his role to a T. In fact, every person on that team knows exactly what they are supposed to be doing, and their chemistry is phenomenal.
LeBron James, Mike Brown say the team respects Pistons - cleveland.com Be prepared for a love-fest on our part. They refuse to say anything negative about us, and we're going to play like they are our "friends".
If I was Mike Curry, I'd ask Bill Laimbeer to [strike]coach[/strike] speak to my team prior to taking the floor tomorrow.
So Laimbeer can tell them they are soft and they suck? I think he would be just as likely to say, "Don't even show up, you guys haven't shown up all year".
Yep. I can't wait to see Sheed and the gang hug LeBron tomorrow. Maybe Tay will take out his tampon and play like a man against Lebron this series? Probably not..haha. Kwame Brown is probably the toughest guy on our team, if he actually plays I expect him to hack LeBron a couple times while he's going through the lane. Other than that Lebron is going to kill us.
LeBron is "touched" by playing the Pistons. Tay has strong feelings for [STRIKE]LeBron[/STRIKE] playing Cleveland
Man, I hate those 100%-politically-correct-we-have-to-say-these-because-it's-the-right-thing-to-say-even-though-we-are-thrilled-to-be-playing-them-when-they're-down-we-really-couldn't-have-asked-for-a-better-matchup-in-the-first-round stuff. It would've been good if someone on that team came out and said what they all really think "It's over for them. Their time has past. We are the new masters of the East. This will be an easy series for us."
OK...A prediction for game 1...Cavs win 88-73...
Sadly, this is true. IIRC he fouled LBJ pretty hard, and Lebron stayed out of the lane while KB was in the game. Luckily, Curry didn't play him in the 4th quarter so the Cavs could secure the win.
"Hi, my name is Bill Laimbeer. I will probably be your coach next year, and I will be watching and evaluating you as you get your butts kicked by Cleveland. Good luck."
"All right you sissies. If ANYone allows that James kid to blow by you for a layup withOUT some tangible evidence of a HARD foul, don't bother showing up for MY training camp next year. I'll except lacerations, bruises, contusions... MAKE THAT KID PAY!!!"
Yep you are...I think their coach can call plays, make adjustments and not screw up in the last 5 mins of a game.... The 07 series vs the Cavs was close in all six games except the last one. The issue here is if we can't keep it close then there is no way we make any big comebacks.... Curry will just %^&&%^...oh forget it..
You're like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin. We love ya Max.
Some more pre-series quotes; Cavs, Pistons ready to rumble - NBA - Yahoo! Sports James talking about his feelings some more. ” I don't know what this tempo is, but it's probably the opposite of the right one. We should be running at them and pushing the ball so naturally we will walk it up and let them get their defense set.
Oh look, Rasheed is playing the underdog card again... pretty good this, pretty good that... we've heard it before Only four more games, and no more AI's expiring contract, Rasheed, and Michael Curry. Just hurry up already.
They have to project some sort of confidence; whether it's real or imagined. I doubt anyone's going to come out and say, "We suck, we'll get swept, why are you guys even asking these question?" And we actually are a huge underdog so in this current context, IMO i think the quote is fine. edited to add; It is a little ironic that a majority of the teams that win the title need that "us against the world mentality" even the favorites.
