At Miami Wed April 15th 8PM tv: FS Detroit HD. Last regular season game of the year. This could have some playoff implications. Pistons trail the Heat in the seasonal series at 1-2.
According to Keith Langlois: "Because the Pistons’ playoff seeding is secured and nothing is at stake in Wednesday’s season finale at Miami, Michael Curry has decided caution is the wisest course and will sit Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess. Tayshaun Prince will start – keeping his consecutive games streak alive at 494 – but play only the first quarter. " Will be an interesting game to see how the younger players will do.
It would be great to see Sharpe get extended time after replacing Tay in the first quarter. The Walters playing the 3 for the last three quarters.
I think it is a wise move to rest the starters except for Tay. A.) They've been playing so well that there isn't much for them to work on. Rest is a good thing. B.) Tay isn't going to have much of role in the CLE series so you might as well play him. I can't even remember who they start at the 3 for them plus Tay never complains of being tired.
Will the Pistons show up? I don't mean that metaphorically. I mean, literally, will they actually show up to play the game?
It would probably be a smart move to suit Kander up and send him out there with Tay, just to ensure that there isn't an injury.
To be fair TaS, AI has been dumping millions into the Detroit economy. Basically a [strike]wealth transfer[/strike] bailout from the fans to the casinos where he gets to play Tim Geithner. That has to count for something.
Well i'm excited. This is probably going to be the last full game of the season for me and Amir's starting! I'm not sure if i can bring myself to watch the Cavs series . . .
But he's getting more back in entertainment I would argue. There is nothing more fun than pissing away millions and then getting escorted out of an establishment.
I'll watch for the sheer spectacle of getting to see Sharpe in action. But other than that, the team isn't even trying to win. It is a meaningless game.
