Detroit Pistons at New Jersey Nets Friday January 21 7:00 pm Local TV: FS Detroit Nat'l TV: Radio: 97.1 FM The Ticket Chat is open!!!! http://www.pistonsforum.com/playoff-chat/
There's no doubt in my mind that we're winning this game. Btw, so long as we're in town, can we just swap Rip with Murphy? Save them a plane ticket each.
Need to change up recent strategy. Start Rip & play him all 48 mins. Run "Two-Chest" every time down the court and tell everyone to set real good screens. Let's showcase the (expletive) out of Rip and see if we can get the same package for him that they're offering the Nuggs for Carmela. Rip needs to score 50+ in this game, win or lose.
5 times stuckey has turned the ball over in the first 6 minutes already......won't show up on the stats but he has either taken a shot he knows he can't make, missed a layup and got blocked or super collided for offensive fouls. Maybe this is Rip's chance to make it back in to the starting lineup eh?
Stuckey really forcing it and playing bad so far in the 1st. He totally wasted two amazing passes by Monroe that should've been assists.
Well we most certainly have to win this third qtr and put that awful first half behind us. Stuckey and Monroe taking some awful shots and CV totally embarrassing himself on the defensive end.
The game went in the tank once CV got the ankle injury. Daye could not step up and hit or even take the shots for the missing CV.. Max could not do a darn thing either other than a block shot. Wilcox had bogus 4th foul called on him midway through the 3rd and that also contributed to the third qtr woes and eventual 4th qtr collapse. I said in chat if we lose the 3rd qtr, we would lose the game...at that point it was 18-18 and Max was at the line....he hit one FT and the Nets went down the floor and the Pistons (Gordon)allowed Morrow to hit a three and the Nets won the qtr 21-19. Morrow came back to score 7 more pts to open the 4th and the game was over in a matter of mins.... For all Bynum did in the 2nd qtr, he killed us in the 4th. Stuckey was a no show in the 1st qtr and then after doing OK in the third....he sat in the 4th until the game was out of hand. Not sure what Q was doing, but if Stuckey had gotten hurt in the semi crunch time garbage time, Joe would have fired him on the spot. 74 points....Embarrasing loss to say the least.
We're down by 7, we get a turnover and up court with a chance to cut it to 5, Bynum is dribbling down the court with his left hand with Harris behind him on his right hand and what does Bynum do? Switch the ball to his right hand as if to say, "here Devin, you can have the ball" Harris pokes it away from behind, NJ gets the ball and Morrow hits a wide open 3 to open the lead up to 10! Everybody is to blame for this loss but I have to wonder what Q was thinking by putting Daye and McGrady on Morrow? Neither of them are good at chasing guys around off the ball, tonight when NJ was going with a 3 guard lineup they had the mismatch as the 6'11'' Austin Daye continues to play like he's only 6'4'' and can't get a shot off. We could have used Rip tonight and I mean that with all seriousness. Austin Daye has clearly played his way off the court these last 6 games, even though Rip is at a low point in his career, he's still miles ahead of Austin Daye and deserves his (and Bynum's) minutes.
Daye is playing along side Bynum. Daye is in danger of getting pulled at the drop of a hat. Not very good conditions to be playing.
