Doing my pre-game meal planning now. Will try to catch this one. I always like to watch Great White North hero Steve Nash do his thing. Dude is one of the best PGs of all time.
This is the Pistons one national TV appearance? I can't even watch the national NBA TV broadcast because I live in Phoenix.
The other day during the PHX/NOH game, the announcers said that Steve Nash is the greatest point guard of all time. Then, they said that CP3 is the best point guard on the planet. While they may be suggesting that Nash is on the decline because of age, if I could choose one of them for the rest of the season, no question I would choose Nash. He may be on the decline, but he is still the best out there right now. Luckily, I think our defense will trip them up and it will be a fairly close game. Look for Daye to get some good burn today.
Nash is an abnormality. By all conventional wisdom he should not be doing what he is doing at his age - he will be 36 this Feb. Isiah and Magic both retired at about the age Nash was starting to peak. This is going to be a tough game for the Pistons.
Check out how good his offensive stats are this season. He works super hard in the offseason. He's not the most athletic guy, but he's relentless about training and practice. Would have made a helluva Piston.
I think what makes him different is that he grew up playing soccer, and started down the pro-road in that sport. He moves the ball quickly like soccer players do, and my guess is that he reads the 'field' differently than a natural point guard. For whatever reason, this allows him to find holes in the defense that other players can't.
Once again, I get screwed by Cox (fitting huh?). Apparently NBA TV is, of course, logically not included in my $180 League Pass subscription.

Why do people always label white atheletes as hard working and non atheletic. Nash is VERY athletic. And he would have made a great soccer player, a great shortstop, a great Fg kicker, a great hockey center.So we need to stop this great white hope theory that every white player in the NBA is there because he works so hard. Wanna talk non athletic? see Joe Dumars!!! LOL BTW, this is not a harsh rebuttal , just a note of love for all my talented white brothers and sisters!
