At this point it looks like we've traded CB and The Grieving Richard Hamilton for AI.

Have you forgotten the era when Nazr was our starting center?

Actually, I had. Thanks for bringing back back memories.

    We were Nazr-esque last night.

Ok let's take a different perspective. LPGRL says, "Ai scores 30 and we barely beat Sac" Hmmm....How about this: Thank God AI dropped 30/9/7 because Rip was 4-16, Sheed was Awful from the floor; Amir, Max and Kwame were seemingly non -existent out there, Stuckey was still in Michigan, and Walter Herrmann has been SUPER-OFF the last 3 games...yet we still beat a team that has pretty good home record, because AI dropped 30 and Tay has been bringing it.
    • What happens when Rip stops wearing all black and gets his isht together?
    • What happens when Sheed can give you his 12-14ppg and solid offensive production?
    • What happens when the frontcourt figures out how to cut, move to open spots, catch point blank passes, and finish?
    • What happens when Amir gets a frigging clue?
    • What happens when Dyess comes back (hopefully with that sweet 17'er of his)???
See I choose to see this team on the way up, everything is correctable and this is a team under construction with a very good builder as a coach. AI just needs to commit to doing a MUCH better job of TRYING to stay in front of his man on D and fighting through and around picks and screens.

If this was football and we only got 16 games then I would be concerned.

I could give a flying flip about any team coached by George Karl.

How about calling some plays in the first half for Sheed to go in the post? They almost made it the whole first quarter without making a post pass in a half court set.

    Hard to disagree with that.

My only thought is that Curry may have been trying to "spread the floor" to get the defense out of the lane for AI.

Low..... your actually really slipping, always love your side of the topic for balance.... but always had one or two posts a week that I'd almost put into the Lee grouping.... but i can't remember the last time a post of yours that did that. :p

edited to add.... didn't mean to say Lee's posts are bad, just sometimes they go to places I just can't understand why or how he could go there.... but brings a nice viewpoint to the table to allow all sides to be seen and allows me to sit back and think.. (though, I may never forgive him for making me jump on the darko Hall of fame wagon back in the day)

Half way thru the first, Curry pulled the starting center, and the starting power forward. About as drastic as you can get. However, I will note this, Amir constantly does try to go toward the basket. Tay, and the rest of the guards, don't seem to notice. Its Sheed who is not even trying to work the post.

Hell, it looks like we've traded CB, GRH, and Sheed's offense for AI. Things will get better. Things will get better. Repeat 20 times. :fingerscr
