I wanted the state of Michigan to get something. I didn't care if it was college or hockey. Now we got nothing. And Austin Daye better be the answer. Period. I don't know if I'm blocking that out though. I think it's pretty obvious.
So true. Here is a quote I found before Daye committed to the Draft: I'm not trying to be a Negative Nellie or anything.
hi everybody. not to be a negative nancy, but this pick continues "the WTF is Joe D thinking" that I've been thinking lately. Joe's thinking seems to be, "let's draft a guy who is happy to be here who won't cause us problems in the lockerroom." Hmmmm. I wonder if Joe ever thinks that the reason there are locker room issues is he he has hired two bums in a row to coach the team?
Just let him hang out with Lebron a month or two and the skinny player talk will be history. From what I saw the he has some skill and he can shoot the ball, a thing that the Pistons have been missing. But to be honest I like DaJuan Summers better, I've seen him against Syracuse and the guy can play. I see him as a Jr. Smith with better basketball IQ.
Why all of the negativity before the guy has even stepped on the court? Lets give the kid a chance to show what he can do before writing him off. If you read all of the opinions, there are good things as well as there are negatives. But until he plays - who can say one way or another?
Wait a minute! I specifically said I didn't want to be a Negative Nelly and RM said he wasn't a negative nancy.
Hey, saying and doing are two different things. I always told my parents that I didn't want to be a pain in the behind, but it didn't quite work out that way...
That's true..to be honest I really do think Robert Michael is a negative nancy even though he says he isn't.
haha Bills, what's up? I feel a little blue about our Pistons. Nothing a couple of good signings won't cure. However, all this talk about Boozer and Turk, and willow reed draft picks has me feeling down in the dumps.
Hey everyone, Joe wasn't going to rebuild the team with the draft. Only way to do that is to get really bad and hope that you land a Duncan or Le Bron who seem to come along every 3 years or so. Bad odds to do it that way. I don't get into the rookie stuff. Is Daye any good or not? Who knows? It was only a 15th pick. How many superstars were drafted at 15 or higher? At least this guy can shoot (unlike Maxiel and Amir after three years and Stuckey and Afflalo after 2 years--although Stuck and Afflalo have been following normal rookie progression on the shot. Height doesn't hurt either.
He's completely useless as a "screen setter" for Rip Hamilton. He completely disappears from view every time he turns sideways.
