Australia Is Unfazed By New Zealand’s Haka
Nice ritual...just have to be able to back it up on the court. They got awfully close to the other team at times. I can imagine that some fluids were exchanged.
The Haka is more of a Rugby thing. I don't know if they do it for Cricket matches. View: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yiKFYTFJ_kw
I love a good Haka. I'm freaking PUMPED after watching those dudes!
When most of the Aussies looked past the NZ guys, Dellavedova kept eye contact with his guy during the whole thing. I wouldn't wanna be that NZ dudes knees 15 minutes later.
Australia just wrapped up the series 2-0 and qualify for the 2016 Olympics. New Zealand will have to qualify the hard way. NZ were missing Adams. Aussies were missing Baynes, Exum and Ingles. Australia face the same problem as the US team in that you bring together your best players to try and gel as a team with less than 2 weeks preparation. Makes it difficult. It was good to see Bogut show up. First time he's played for Australia since Beijing and the first time he's played in Australia in 10 years. You need physical players in these kinds of games. This isn't the NBA. It's referreed like Europe where A LOT of contact is let go. Delly dived on the ground like he always does but nobody says a thing. The Kiwi guys were diving just as hard. Guess that just highlights the culture difference as we all know.
