It has been a struggle at 3-5 now 4-5.

Looking around the league the Pistons are not the only ones.

    PHX is 3-5
    Miami 3-5
    Wash 3-5
    Chic 3-6
    Milw 3-6
    Denv 3-4
    Dallas 4-4

These are all teams that are supposed to make the playoffs.

When the Pistons have lost, they've been getting exposed, badly. I don't buy into the "everyone is mediocore, so we can be too" philosophy.

I agree with roscoe. There is a reason why all these teams are doing so bad. The Bulls have no post threat. The Pistons are not on the same page yet and are not being effecient a full 48 minute game. Phoenix lost Tim Thomas, and have to get Amare back into great shape plus the mvp got hurt. Dallas may have made some bad moves getting Devean George and Anthony Johnson instead of keeping who they had before. Miami is showing they are too one sided, everything has to do with D. Wade. As for Washington, Denver, and Milwaukee they are all offense and no defense.

There is a reason why all these teams are off to a poor start. Some of the teams will fix there problems and have a spectacular season, while others won't and there season will be a dissapointment.

Who said the Pistons wanted to be mediocre?

Good analysis Himat. When it is all said and done, at least 6 of the eight listed including the Pistons will make the playoffs, but they may be in lower seeded slots than they expected.

The local papers and Pistons' own writers have made the point that if others are doing badly, then it's ok for the Pistons.

Do they want to be mediocore? Some nights, it sure looks like it.

Sorry. I forgot to put in the customary slam against the Pistons in that post.

I just thought it was strange that so many good teams are starting off slowly. I am sure they don't like it as much as we do. Eddie George mentioned in his post-game how he has to find a way to get his team playing better.

Competition is fierce. If I had a team that had been getting kicked to the curb and getting paid like the teams that were doing the kicking I would want them to come out strong. But I doubt they have sustain.
    Raptors
    Magic
    Warriors
    Jazz
